I purchased this printer late August for school, it didn't last longer than 2 months. One day after finishing up printing a couple pages it read an error. Looked up the error occuring and it's known as a fatal error. The printer hasn't worked since.

If zero stars were an option, I would want a negative number option. I purchased this machine for an older woman who prints 20-30 pages per month. Within weeks of purchase the machine reported that it was out of ink. She purchased replacement ink, which the machine readily accepted. A few weeks later, the machine again reported having exhausted both black and color ink. She replaced the ink. Subsequently, she reported that the print quality was poor (extremely light). I performed routine maintenance steps including those that warn, "Process consumes a lot of ink," or words to that effect. There was no improvement in print quality. I changed her printing preferences to default to the highest quality output and to printing only with black ink. These steps led to a temporary improvement. Not long afterwards, she reported that she had purchased and replaced both black and color ink again per the machine's notification that ink needed replacement. It is a mystery how her color ink supply was exhausted when set to monochrome printing. As the machine was a gift, I offered to trade my HP Envy 4520 with her (which she loves) and brought the machine into my house as a backup printer. She is 92 years old and is very unlikely to purchase anything named Epson. Having printed about 25 pages (the highest quality setting gets mediocre results), it is out of ink. The printer now only prints blank pages when set to monochrome printing. I refuse to pay $50 or more to feed this badly addicted machine. This is a bad poker hand, and it is time to fold. Unfortunately, I was out of the country when the year-long warranty expired. It isn't much good as a paper weight. It looks nice on a bookshelf. Any ideas what I can do with it? I would donate it to Goodwill, but it would be an act of malevolence.
