Setup The initial setup of the printer was easy. The printer has a user-friendly touch screen setup, guiding the user with step-by-step prompts for ink installation. However, the wireless installation did not work as well as installing the ink. I used the software download from the Epson site (I don’t have a CD player on my laptop). I spent too much time trying to get my laptop connected to the printer. Even after getting the wireless connected to my printer, I could not install the Google Print software because the site for downloading the software gave me the error. I spent two hours getting the wireless software installed. Printing, Scanning, and Copying Printing, once I finally managed to connect, worked. The scanning and copying functions worked, but the copy came out with blurry print. The printer reminded me that I still had the original on the scanner bed. I was unable to test the tablet and cellphone functions because I couldn’t download the Google Print software. I didn’t have a memory card to test the SD functions, and the vendor had neglected to ship the CD insert tray for me to test that function of printing on CDs. A few years ago I switched to color laser printers due several inkjet printer issues namely: the high cost of ink, slow printing speed, and multiple printer failures. However, there has been one downside to that decision - if I wanted photos printed I had to send my files to an online service or Costco to be printed which was a bit inconvenient. With this printer, those days are in the past - the picture print quality from this printer is on par with professional prints (and I didn't even set the print quality to high!). First Epson I’ve owned in years. I forgot how versatile they are. As an audio engineer, I appreciate the ability to design labels and print directly to CD media. All other functions are top notch, and ink usage is very economical, especially for the quality. Highly recommended.

This is a great all-in-one printer for day to day printing jobs. I love this printer so far, I have printed so many photos and I must say I really liked the quality of the prints. To start with, installation & setup was straight forward as the instructions are detailed and step-wise, there was hardly any confusion about what to do next. The borderless photo comes out neatly and is no edges. The innovative fold over scan lid is very handy and makes the scanning so much comfortable. It easily connects to various mobile devices like iPads, iPhones, etc. This feature helps to print the documents on the go. And if you combine this feature with a hands-free voice activating feature then it is an unbeatable combination. I used this printer for my daughter's project and all the prints including the colored ones were very good and it was appreciated by her teacher. It has two paper trays that can be used separately for photo & document prints. 4X6 photos come out in about 11 secs and it is of much better quality than my current printer. This has a good design and is compact & light-weight. The printer connectivity is very robust and can be used to print the documents from any area of the house. The 4.3" touchscreen is user-friendly and helps greatly in operating the printer. Printing sound is not as loud as generally the printers have. This printer has editing tools, which include red-eye removal and photo restoration for old photos. All in all, a great quality printer which is capable of printing top quality borderless prints. Needed an all-in-one printer that could do larger size, high quality photo prints. Love the double side printing capability for documents. Photo print quality is excellent. Knocking off one star because the inks run out pretty quick.

Initial setup was quick, but colors look muted. Especially compared to my old HP. Had to mess with driver settings for color and quality defaults. It improved, but still hasn't wowed me. It often seems to be recalibrating during a print job - making one page take 3-5 minutes to complete. Don't know why any printer has to do this so often.

No Problems! very happy with the Epson - Expression Photo XP-970 Wireless All-In-One Printer. The whole family can use this printer.

Unfortunately I had to return this product. I had extensively researched this product prior to purchasing it. It worked extremely well until last November it stopped working color photo prints. Blank & White prints were fine but color photo printing stopped working. Blob of ink pouring onto the photo paper. Took it to the store for some kind of repair but specialists suggested to return and purchase another product as I took extended warranty. So I have purchased Epson ET-8550. Otherwise this XP-970 is fine and worked well for me.

I really hate to say it but I’m not impressed at all. It’s a lot louder when it prints than what I’m used to. It’s already messed up 4 -6 print jobs and just isn’t as user friendly as the printers I’ve had and used unfortunately. It’s all in one printer which is awesome! But I had trouble on printing a photo it jump and I think my printer has malfunction but I’ll give it more try but I think it’s great has a lot of great features so far so good. Great printer . Good communication from Best Buy. Fast delivery

I cannot understand what the hoopla is about with this printer as it is a very average printer, if you're an artist or photographer, do not buy! And if you need to print a document the quality is probably the worst I've sever seen. Ever. Of course there is no support for anything you want to find answers to. Last Epson I'll ever buy. If it's not too late, I'll return it.

Ink will run out fast so I would suggest print one at a time or buy a different printer that the ink will last

Broke the first time I used it. Output tray is stuck open and constantly say there is no paper in the printer even when there is.
