Customers highly value the Expression Premium EcoTank ET-7700's impressive print quality and ease of use, with many praising its straightforward setup. The printer's compact size is also a plus for those with limited space. However, some users find the small capacity of the input paper tray to be a limitation.

I ordered the ET-7700 to replace another Epson Ecotank workforce printer that I owned for a few days. This one is leaps and bounds better than the workforce model I had originally gotten. We bought this because we were tired of paying $60-70 for ink cartridges every couple of months. This has not disappointed. We purchased this at the beginning of September 2019. I filled it with the initial first set of ink bottles that came with it. It came with two large bottles. We are at 8 months later today and the ink is still about 3/4 full, the black ink alone is a little bit more full than that. I can't believe it. We print tons of documents and coloring pages for our young daughter. We also print a lot of pictures on photo paper. The photo prints come out amazing and vibrant because there is an extra photo black which provided more definition and deeper black tones in the photos. The ink is almost fool-proof when it comes to refilling the tanks also. The tip on the bottle will only fit on the hole one direction, and it doesn't start to empty until it is locked in place on the top of the tank. This printer does have a maintenance box that has to be replaced when it gets too full. It is a small plastic box lined with foam or sponges that catch and soak up the excess waste ink, but eventually it gets full. Our printer indicates that this box is halfway filled now. I have read online that there are ways you can make the box reusable or cleanable. But it comes with a second box that we haven't used yet, and you can order a replacement online for anywhere from $12-20. Not a deal breaker for me like I originally thought. It has lasted much longer than I anticipated.
The printed has an SD card reader as well as a USB reader. There is a CD tray that can be used to print labels on printable cds, dvds and blurays. The screen is not a touch screen, it has buttons to navigate which I thought I would not like at first but I really don't mind them because I hardly use the button menus. The console manually tilts up and the paper catcher has to be manually pulled out. There are two paper trays - one for full size regular paper and one for several different sizes of photo paper, but mainly 4x6 and 5x7. The is a door (tray) on the back of the printer for envelope feeding, and other irregular sizes of paper. I opted not to get the next model up that allows you to print on 11x17 paper because I just didn't see a need for that in the home for our purposes.
This printer also flawlessly connected wirelessly to our network and it just works. The flatbed scanner is a good resolution, and I have used it to scan in many old photographs that actually took longer to do on previous printers. The software that comes with this automatically detects just the photo when you do a preview first, so you don't have to click and drag a box around the image that you want to capture. This was a great time-saving feature for my purposes. This model can also be connected to the computer with a usb cable if needed. Some of the cheaper models do not have the capability for be connected with a cable.
Documents print well, especially if you use the bright white Epson paper. The printer has a built-in feeder to automatically print two sided documents, which is a plus. You can print documents on the printer emailing them to an address that you set up when you set the printer up online. You can also print wirelessly from laptops and mobile devices. It works great with our apple products. However, one issue with this is that because you have to pull the paper catching tray out manually, if it happens to be pushed in when you try to print from the other room, it will not work. You have to get up and go pull the tray out. For that reason we keep our tray pulled out all of the time. Other than that I have no complaints about the product. I would purchase it again and would definitely recommend it!

This review is over the Epson Expression Premium ET-7700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer which has been a unique experience. I did put this printer to the test by printing a lot of paperwork. After a great amount of printing and scanning, I have come to the following results that will cover some features I love about the printer and the quality of printing and scanning.
Don't know if you do remember but a long time ago there was an attempt to have a solution to saving the consumer money from having to buy ink cartridges. This solution was to buy refillable ink that would allow the consumer to refill cartridges which could be a complete mess if done wrong. Also, you could only do this so many times before the cartridge itself would stop working. With this being said Epson has finally found a better solution by designing built-in tanks for each color. All you have to do now is fill the tank with ink which you can't even mess up as each bottle is keyed to fit each tank differently. Something else to mention is no mess when adding ink to the printer but that is as long you follow the rules and place the bottle in the key slot and let it do its job. You don't have to squeeze or worry about overfilling the tank as the bottle will stop the ink flow as soon as the tank is full.
What else is very cool is that you can physically see how much ink is in the printer by looking at the tank gauge in front of the printer. This will allow you to know how much ink you have at any given moment without having to print a supply sheet out or going into the printer settings or software to view the ink level.
Now it's time to go over the quality of printing and scanning. First, let's go over the printing features. This printer is built to use less ink while still having the best quality of pictures and documents that are printed from the printer. Of all the printing I did the quality was outstanding and very surprised of all the printing I did there was still a lot of ink remaining in the printer. Did you know with this printer you can print up to 9,000 pages of documents and up to 5,000 pages in color? That is a lot of pages that you can print and if you had to purchase cartridges you would've bought up to 30 ink cartridges. Talk about the savings you would save as the replacement ink if bought in a set is lower than $60 if you bought the 4 pack or you can also purchase each separately which is roughly around $14. These prices are as of this review and could change at a later time. Something else to mention is that the printer does come with up to 2 years worth of ink.
Next let's go over the scanning features of the Epson Expression Premium ET-7700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer. The one feature I do miss is the document feeder which would allow you to scan more than one document at a time. With this printer, you only have a flatbed which is okay but the document feeder would be a great addon for this printer. This is the only CON I don't like about the printer but you can still scan documents and photos by using the flatbed. The printer does do an awesome job scanning as I have scanned documents which is expected to be good as it doesn't take much to scan a document. As for photo quality, the image quality was great as long you chose the higher settings while scanning. It even scanned some grayscale photos of some pictures that my wife loves to color which had outstanding quality. The printout looked just like the original grayscale photo.
Some other features of the printer are being able to print to the printer wireless from your computer or mobile device. You can even print pictures by placing an SD card into the printer our USB drive. There is also an option to print onto writable CD's/DVD's by placing the writable CD/DVD into the specially designed tray and placing the tray into the printer. Once you have done this you can use the Print on CD/DVD in the More Functions on the LCD display. There is more I could go in as Epson has done an outstanding job in creating this printer.
In the end, this is an awesome printer which I do expect due to the price you pay for this printer. As of this time I wrote this review, the printer does cost $549.99. Yes I know that is expensive but with the quality and amount of ink, you save year/year makes up for it. My rating for this printer is 4 out of 5. As mentioned the only CON about the printer is not having the document feeder.

From the moment I opened the box, I knew this printer was going to be awesome. The packaging was very organized and everything was very easy to remove. Setup was very simple and user friendly.
My favorite feature has to be the cartridge-free printing. The liquid ink was very easy to install. Just insert it into the correct slot and wait for it to fill up. It automatically stops once full so there is no mess. There was no ink spilled anywhere. It was so easy.
I have printed several pages since setting up this printer and the ink levels have no moved. They are still completely full. I am astonished. The print quality, copying, and scanning features are just what i expected from an Epson printer. Perfect!
This printer is everything and more I expected from Epson.
I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for great print quality, a user friendly device and savings on ink!

I have to say this is a great printer! It is rather heavy and does take up a decent amount of space but the ease of use definitely makes up for it.
From the unboxing it was unbelievably easy to set up...the instructions could be followed by anyone. I will be honest though i was nervous about having to pour ink into the reservoir for each color but it was simple and practically impossible to spill.
The technological set up was a breeze also. Just roughly 4 simple steps and i was printing.
The print quality was not the best i have experienced but not horrible. Overall it is a great device and the ink seems like it will last a LONG time!!!

True all in one Printer!

I got this printer with no expectations of what it should and shouldn't do. As far as set up goes it was fairly easy to set up as everything came in the box that you need to get started with the exception of paper which wasn't much at my office supply store. Upon opening the box I was a bit surprised at how basic and small the screen was but that may have just have been because I wasn't sure of all the features. It came with enough ink for a 2 year supply and filling the ink was easy.
The pros were the double paper loading feature and the printing speed when it came to regular documents compared to my other high quality printer, it definitely was faster. I liked that it was easy to set up and get ready for printing. The software was very easy to install and the simple instructions made for an it an easy task all the way through. The cons were the unit was quite smaller than I expected and it took a while to print an 8×10 photo but I rarely print that big so not much of an issue. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a small but efficient printer.

Best Printer for Home

This printer is surprisingly packed with so many features I did not expect. I use a printer at home for printing photos, small reports for work, and mostly for homework for my son. The features built into this printer open up the possibilities to be more creative.
It has a drawer that is dedicated to printing on CDs/DVDs. There is a card reader that allows you to print from an SD card or a jump drive in the USB port.
Of course, it also prints wirelessly. The Wi-Fi set up was so easy. The menu is simple to use, colorful, and intuitive. I was set up on my network in no time. I was able to connect my phone, tablet and laptop quickly.
The set up looks daunting, especially if you aren't accustomed to using liquid ink; however, the step-by-step set up instructions made this initial task smooth and simple. The quality of the prints are great. Really impressed by this printer. This Epson ET-7700 is truly a powerhouse of a printer!
It is an All-in-one printer, allowing you do all your professional printing needs with ease.
To start, it prints extremely high-quality photo at pretty fast speed. The printer has 3 adjustable trays for all your different printing needs. The top tray handles all the smaller things like 4 by 6 photos or anything around that range. The middle tray takes full-size Letter papers and around that size. The bottom tray Is really coll, as it is special for printing CDs. Pretty much all you the different thing you could possibly need to print for your business, this printer can do!
Next, this All-in-one printer has a really sharp scanner, allowing you to scan, copy, or fax your sketches and other documents into your computer, give copies to your clients, or fax it to them.
One amazing thing that I really like about this printer is the Eco-Tank. Besides that the printer comes with a 2 year supply of ink FREE in the box, refilling your ink and getting more is now a breeze. no more paying exorbitant prices for cartridges. The Eco-Tank ink display Is predominantly visible in the front of the printer, not making you guess how much you have left at all times.
Filling up the ink is a breeze. Just insert the bottle into the correct inn slot and it will fill itself up, automatically stopping when its full.
The printer control panel on the front is very easy to use, and it has a very clear and sharp touchscreen display, allowing you to do work directly from the printer itself.
Set up was very easy, the printer comes with very simple and easy to follow instructions to get it going and the software as well. Just a great all-around printer!

Printer is great, ink bottles are big enough and the ink last forever, prints are clear and beautiful : ) , very easy to set it up, without a problem, and we can print photos as well ( the printer does an excellent job, they are perfect ), we can print from the computer
( of course ), tablet, cell phone, etc. you name it, without a hesitation. If you want to print from your cell phone you just have to download the App, very easy to use.
Very happy with my printer.
Now about Best Buy shipping the printer to my house I'll give them one star if not cero, they shipped the printer, just like that, without protection, not inside of another box, nothing, the printer exposed, and adding to that, they left it outside my house giving crap if the printer got stolen or not, ( remember, they sent the printer without protection, exposed ), I got really mad, because the printer is not cheap, It didn't get damaged, ( so far it works fine ), I can't believe how some irresposible worker don't care about his/her job, and ships the electronics like that, giving 2 cents if they get damaged or not, shame on them.

When opening I was a bit overwhelmed at first site. The step by step directions went smoothly! Connecting to Wi-Fi and using this from another room is fantastic, makes printing that much easier & faster. I love that it arrived with enough ink to refill all the colors again. The design of the ink bottles are the best I have ever seen, would be hard to mess refilling up! The sleek design and overall look is clean & professional. Step by Step right on screen panel makes projects that much easier. Having "options" on color degrees is a feature I have not seen on any other printer!

Amazing print shop quality photos and great print speed. I’ve already printed several photos and I don’t think the ink level moved. By now I would have had to replace the ink in my old photo printer several times. I like that there are separate trays for plain paper and photo paper. The energy saving features are nice as well. I have a set time for it to sleep and a set time to power down and it will power up when I try to print something from my phone, tablet or computer. The output tray isn’t automatic so I always have it open or I would have to open it every time I want to print something. The ink was really easy to load and the bottle top only fits the specific color ink. I was ready with a plastic bag and towel but didn’t spill a drop. I think it only comes out of the bottle once inserted. When I print it says to regularly check the actual amount of ink level so without a chip on a cartridge that has to be done manually now. I set it up to have its own email to print from anywhere but it took a lot longer to start printing. It did give options of who is allowed to print with the email and sends confirmation email that it printed and who printed. Scan quality is amazing. I like that I can scan to my email or drop box as pdf for documents or jpeg for photos. There were options for other cloud services. I scanned an old photo of my dad when he was young to my email. I had to crop the edges of the photo on my phone but when I printed it looked restored and better than the original with the same great details as the original. I’m not sure if that was the printer or my phone but couldn’t be happier! I did run into one issue. This printer is capable of automatic double sided printing and normally it does print double sided but sometimes it doesn’t. I think it’s most likely the file I’m trying to print because it will be fine printing other things but the same files will have the same issue and only print one sided even if I have selected double sided. Overall couldn’t be happier! This printer is replacing old reliable that I used in college (terrible photo quality) and my photo printer. Can’t think of anything more I could want from it. It’s simply the best printer I’ve ever owned!

Finally finally I think I found the best all in one printer, I’ve gone through many printers. Had Canon and HP for the last 10 plus years. But finally believe this is the one. Easy setup, prints great pictures and is fast. Not to have to worry about ink is GREAT. Yes it’s pricey but it’s worth the money. Great job EPSON

This all-in-one printer has been a winner for me. Number one, the print quality is excellent for photos, text and graphics. Secondly, the scanner works great and gives a high-quality scan for artwork. Plus, the software is easy to use. Thirdly, it just sips at the ink supply. And it's so easy to fill the ink tanks, it's virtually foolproof.
Of course, the key feature is no replacement cartridges. It's all done with ink bottles in reservoirs.
The method of delivering ink to the print heads is totally different from normal ink jet printers; it runs through tubes from the tanks. It also has a replaceable container for ink used in maintaining the print heads.
It also has multiple trays for a variety of uses. It can handle card stock and a variety of sizes. It also can print directly onto CDs and DVDs (if that's something you need to do).
I don't use it for constant high-volume printing, so the jury is still out in terms of how it handles not being used all the time. My one worry is the ink will dry up in the tubes and clog up the whole delivery system. So far it hasn't missed a beat when starting it up after a few days' layoff.
Yes, the cost is higher. You're paying up front rather than getting a cheap printer and constantly paying through the nose for cartridges. But I think the quality of the product, and the ease of use, is worth the initial investment.

Bye Bye Ink Cartridges!

I was sick and tired of constantly changing ink cartridges in our HP printers. Plus they always seemed to run out at 10pm, when my daughter is trying to print a school project, due the next morning. The cost and inconvenience of ink cartridges is ridiculous!! I was looking to switch to a color laser printer, but those toner cartridges are half the cost of a new printer. Then I stumbled onto the Epson EcoTank printers. I was skeptical, but desperate, so I went for it. The setup was straight forward and easy. They claim the ink provided will print several thousand sheets and I believe it, as I’ve printed enough to drain the ink cartridges from my old printer, yet the ink levels have barely dropped on this new Epson printer. I have not noticed any loss in quality of the printing I’ve done so far. So if you’ve had with ink cartridges too, pick up one of these Epson printers. Note: I am NOT one of the those people that got a free or discounted printer for their “unbiased” review.

So far everything works perfectly, the only issues I have had is trying to use the scan but I know that is me trying to get it to work. This printer was our first ecotank printer. Ink cartridges were so expensive and a pain to have to stop and change in the middle of an important project. I found this to be a good printer as it can print double sided and does a good job on envelopes and such. It is a bit noisy but you get used to it. Have printed some pictures and they are good but not better than I was able to get on other comparable printers. Satisfied with this printer but nothing that makes me say wow!

I'm pleased with this printer. I bought it because it has ink tanks rather than ink cartridges. It prints clear copies, even after standing idle (no printing) for several days. With my old printer- of a different brand- if I didn't print something for two days or so, the ink in the printhead dried-up. The Epson has no such problem. Drawback: The 8 1/2 x 11 paper tray holds very little paper, and misfeeds/jams if the tray is fully loaded.

After five months of steady use, I'd say this printer is good, but with limitations. No ADF was not an issue, I thought, but now I realize I can't scan documents more than one page at a time. The card slot reader works fine, however. Printing quality was excellent at first, both color and B&W. After three months of regular, but light home copying, the color copies developed streaks, and the B&W showed smudges and globs of ink -- which did not dry, and were a mess. Head cleaning did nothing. I had to replace the "maintenance box" and performed deep cleaning, which seems to have resolved the problem. Print quality is again excellent. Printing an address label from MS Word triggers the printer to think you are printing a CD label -- very difficult to get around that default. Overall: satisfied, but not completely. I do like the Ecotank feature -- am spending much less on ink, thank you!

Absolutely fabulous printer! Unlike the HP printers which are inexpensive (but they get you when it time for ink cartridges) this is a pricey printer but the fact that two sets of ink are included makes this a good value, the ecojet ink seems to last forever. We have a comparable Epson at work and haven't had to refill the ink yet (6 months old) with the cartridge printer the black would last 2 weeks.
I've printed 15 5X7 pictures and the quality is great and only takes a minute to print on the highest ssetting.
