Great Compact All-in-One Printer

Although its small in size, it does have all the same features as larger models that I've used so. The construction of the printer looks very nice and build quality is great too. The design aesthetics of the printer hardware is modern so this printer looks great on my desk. I've been using this printer for about a month now and really like it overall. Print quality so far has been awesome too. It uses the five color ink so photos come out very nice. Max print resolution is high too at 5760 x 1440 DPI. Initial setup of the printer was quick and painless. It took me about 10 minutes to get the printer up and running with the latest firmware installed. The 2.4" color screen made setup super intiutive and easy. Also, this printer comes with all the bells and whistles that you would expect from a recent Epson printer. It has a printer app to manage the printer from a smartphone or tablet. You can even manage the printer and change it settings from a web browser. It has Apple Airprint and Google Cloud Printer. It has Wifi Direct to allow for ad-hoc printing from a wireless device. Also has Epson connect to allow printing by sending the document to an email address that is assigned to the printer. Very cool. The only issues that I have with the printer is that I'm not able to use link my enterprise OneDrive account to use the cloud print function. My personal account works fine but it appears that work accounts are not compatible. Also, I wish the print tray automatically opens when needed and retracts when not needed. Not a big deal but you'll need to manually pull the print tray out for the printer to print. Overall, I would highly recommend this printer! This is a review for the Epson Expression Premium XP-6100 Small-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

I would have ordered something else online but I needed a printer NOW to complete a CARES funding deadline. I have already replaced it with another printer that I ordered online. The problems were as follows: 1. Very difficult to install and set-up by a non-tech person (myself). I finally accomplished it by disregarding the Quick Start instructions and just trying anything else I could think of. Hours later, what I did to achieve success was not even close to the Quick Start instructions. 2. Does not copy more than one page at a time and does not scan unless you install some other process that I could never get to work. Even then it doesn't appear that it could scan more than one page at a time. I am astonished that printers this outdated are even made anymore. Maybe it was just left over from the 90's. 3. No touch screen, just arrows you have to press to move the cursor around. Again, I thought this technology was long outdated. My new printer does multiple page copies and scans and has a touch screen for the same price.
