This printer is horrible. Very difficult to use and simply stops printing.

What a great printer I love my XP-6100 Epson printer. It is easy to set up, easy to use and very versatile, allowing the user to do many tasks. I have made copies, sent scans via email, printed many times from the web and am going to try and print pictures using photo paper( in the process of buying). This is a great inexpensive printer which is a work horse doing many tasks. Great color great print jobs easy to use and not had any problems at all. I recommend this printer to anyone using it for home use, it is exceptionally good. The price is excellent and supplies are also at good prices being sold at Best Buy as well as others. Get this great printer , you won't be disappointed.

Instructions don’t make any sense. So hard to load paper

love this printer it is fast and and it prints very good quailty pictures and also is very compact doesnt take up a lot of room aqnd everything you print is great and it is a very easy setup for it doesnt take long to set up at all and i just loved this printer the only issue i had with it is it is hard to fill the paper for the printer because it is so compace but eveything is printed wirless and it prints great off your phones also this review is for the epson expressions proiuem xp-6100 small in one printer that i recived free of charge to do a beta test and review on this

I do not like how it works for me ant the cost of the ink .

I got this to replace my previous Epson Artisan 730 that I'd used for several years. It was easy enough to set up; seems to be compatible with my Android phone, my Windows 11 laptop and my Chromebook. I really like that it has two front loading paper trays and they are both adjustable. It scans and prints at a decent speed; without a lot of noise. However, I turned it off one night; thinking to save electricity. When I turned it back on I had to reconnect it to my WiFi. I haven't turned it off since.

I have tested this printer and this is my unbiased opinion. I printed everything from regular plain old text text to very large photos and they all printed fast, easy and were very high quality. I also like it's small or I guess a better word would be compact design. It is very small considering the vast amount of features stuffed into this unit! This is a great unit and I find it very hard to criticize or critique anything about it. If you held a gun to my head and said I had to pick something bad about it; I would have to say it uses a decent amount of ink. However, it performs so well that you won't care about that! Believe me! If you print out a photo you will be AMAZED at the quality! This is a VERY HIGH QUALITY UNIT! A great bonus feature of this high quality feature packed unit is it's size! You can literally fit this unit practically anywhere! It also has 2 trays so you can do your regular printing and printing on a CD or DVD too. You don't have to switch anything either! Very convenient! It's print speed is very fast compared to other units! You would expect the quality to suffer since the print speed is very fast; but this is not the case here. I believe the 2 black ink cartridges help to make the printed photos extra clear and very high quality. My first observation of this printer was the size. It’s very compact and sits great on my desk. From opening the box to completion of set up took approximately 60 minutes. For some reason, it wouldn’t pick up my wi-fi signal, but after two tries, it connected. My only concern are the ink cartridges. I know manufacturers (HP, Samsung, Epson, etc.) make their money from the ink, not the product itself. For such a small printer, in my opinion, takes way too many ink cartridges and the cartridges are very small (I guess the cartridges need to be as small as the printer). Also, the printer itself, takes too long to begin printing. One morning, I went to print a receipt. After hitting the print button, I went to put my laundry in the dryer expecting the receipt to be printed by the time I returned. When I returned, I noticed that the printer had not even started printing yet! At first I thought it was my mistake, but it was not. The printer did finally begin printing, but the lag time was much too great. My previous HP printer would begin printing immediately. For photo copying, the colors are crisp and clean. I have not printed an enormous amount of photos as I have done in the past, so I can’t comment on the longevity of the ink. All in all, this printer is great for a one-person office, or for intermittent printing of documents and photos. After using the Epson XP-6100 for a couple of weeks I can say that I was very pleased. Many printers say they offer this and that, but not many really deliver what they say. At first glance the XP-6100 looks very similar to the XP-6000. With that being said I was wondering what internal updates were made in order to make this one stand out. Setup- 5 out of 5 Setup was very easy and I was up and running in no time. If you own or have any of the XP family printers then you will be a pro at setting the XP-6100 up. Print quality- Text 5 out of 5 photo printing 4 out of 5. I ran several tests with B&W and color text along with B&W and color photo printing. Text on pages was very sharp and very rapid printing speeds. I was able to print 10 pages of text both B&W and color in about a minute. As for photo printing things were not a vivid at times, and speeds lacked that of my cannon printer. When printing in high photo quality pictures color would be off and at times had a yellow tint to the colors. Overall I have to say that the XP-6100 is a great intro printer to own. Great to use if you run or work out of your home office. As for using it as your to go printer to print photos i would say that a high more advanced printer would be needed. The Epson XP-6100 printer, is a powerful performance vehicle (not a car but stick with me) in a sleek, compact design that has all the tools for photos (borderless 4 x 6, 5 x 7 and 8 x 10), documents and even more, while saving valuable desk space in its compactness. The Epson XP-6100 printer also allows wireless printing (from iPad's, iPhone's, tablet's or smartphones), at home or when you are out. You can also scan documents and save them to the cloud. I'm still experimenting, but the Epson XP-6100 also has a built-in USB and memory card slots, plus a 2.4 LCD and touch pad so you can preview what you want to print and save valuable ink, as well as edit before you print, so that when you do print your photos you know what you are getting. I have not done this yet, but you can also print directly onto inkjet printable CDs/DVDs for a more personal touch of your CDs/DVDs. I have not done this either, but you can do 2-sided printing to save paper as well. The Epson XP-6100 printer uses a 5 cartridge coloring system designed to use ONLY Epson ink (may not work at all if you use any other ink in your Epson XP-6100, so I would not recommend doing so). I received the Epson Expression Premium XP-100 Small-in-One Printer about a month ago and love it. It is smaller than my last printer, so it doesn’t take up much space, which I appreciate. There are several things I appreciate about this printer. It prints quietly, will print two sided, which I have never had before and love not wasting paper. I can make copies and scan on it so I do not have to go out somewhere to make the copies or scan to fax something, which is a huge time saver. The printer was very easy to set up. The only issue I had was placing the ink in as I was pressing too lightly (afraid I might break them) so my roommate did it for me, as it they need to be snapped in with some pressure. The printer gives you several options on printing sizes so it is not just the normal size as it has a couple different paper holders for the size you want to print, such as envelopes. I have not had any issues with paper jams. I like that it lets you choose if you want to print in color or black and white. My printer was shipped to me and It arrived in good condition so there were no complications. Setup was very straight forward and the quick guide was clear and concise. This Epson printer started scoring points with me quickly as the ease of setup got me going quickly printing from my computer via the print cable I used, or the WiFi ability where I used my Android phone to print from, starting with a few pictures I had been wanting to have prints of. I used the Epson app on my phone. At this point I started to become suspicious as everything had gone so smoothly I expected the shoe to drop any second. One of the things I really liked about this printer, is the paper feed trays (2) and the paper output tray where on the same side of the printer which was the front meaning I could save space, unlike printers where the paper tray slants upwards from the back. Another thing I really liked was two sided printing. Controls of this printer were via a 2 inch LCD display and navigation buttons next to it. All basic functions were clear and straight forward. And it's fast! Epson rates it at 16 ppm in Mono and 13 ppm in color which is fast in my book. The print quality was very good in both mono/text and color/picture printing. Printing was reasonably quiet. The two paper trays accommodate two different sizes with the bottom tray for larger sizes/ A4 and the upper tray for smaller sizes of glossy photo paper and specialty items like CD/DVDs making it rather flexible. I did think that the capacity of the main paper tray was on the small size, and rated at 100 sheets only. It comes equipped with five (5) ink cartridges with two blacks, one for printing text only and the other for color photos. Still I used most of the ink during my evaluation causing me some concern with the cost of operating this printer. But then I had to admit that what makes this printer valuable to me is its ability to do many things well like scanning, copying, great photo quality printing, specialty printing like calendars, greeting cards, CD/DVD, Coloring Books and more all built in to a Various Prints menu selection, and more. Couple that with a USB and WiFi connectivity and the Apple AirPrint function and you have a remarkable well rounded printer for the home or even small business. After receiving my Epson Expression Premium XP6100 All in One compact Printer .I installed it which was very easy to do, It printed out a test paper after connecting directly to my computer. I than had to align and adjust everything, very easy to do, I than printed coupons ,sometimes it would print fast others it seemed like it took forever, the print quality isn’t what I expected for pictures, (All though it may be my picture, I have seen many pictures printed from an Epson printer and was amazed how beautiful they come printed out) printing flier’s was amazing colorful , if you just need to print letters, coupons documents or fliers it would be perfect. It holds 2 different sizes of paper which is very nice if you print any smaller projects, No waste of having to use bigger size paper. I”m not a fan of only being able to scan to the computer only, to me that takes time away by having to open up the documents than hit print Loading paper into the printer, is also very easy. It has auto shut-off, sleep, Red -Eye fix and many other options The setting has help right there if needed no need to go hunting instruction. Great size for someone who doesn’t have a large area to put a printer. It would be great for a Student. The Epson XP-6100 is AMAZING! So compact and so many options for printing. I love the color quality of the prints and the ease of printing the photos. Very easy to connect and very user friendly Epson is high quality worksmanship from front to back. I would recommend this printer to anyone looking for a great quality printer. And of course Epson never lets us down on that note. So if you seek high quality printing and ease of operation, I would advise you to purchase this printer, you will not regret it.

I am replacing my old XP-6100 with another one of the same model. I don't how long I have had it, but many years! I have printed many documents, with great quality results. I have printed many photos, B&W and color. The ink is not too expensive, and last a good while. The ink cartridges can be replaced individually!
