The worst printer I've ever used. Would never buy it again and I don't recommend it.

Very friendly setup. "start here" sheet was excellent. Control panel requires becoming familiar with it's layout but works very well. Excellent print quality. Scanning to cards/computer nice capability. Ink provides great photo colors. CD provides software for setup which I ran on two laptops successfully. Wireless went fine (you have to play with it a little). Easy on print tray - just don't bang it around and it'll do job ok.

Clean prints. Easy set up. Paper loading was a little tricky. Ink dries out fast. Scanning docs the computer is easy. Mobile printing was pretty simple. Sometimes disconnects from computer. Decent printer for the price paid. Not bad for simple jobs.

    Good printer for the price.

I have always been happy with Epson printers. This one is no exception. The wireless function, the speed and quality are great. For printing photos it does an excellent job. One drawback is the size and volume of the print cartridges. A little on the small size. But that's where they get you to pay top dollar for Epson ink. I bought non-epson cartridges and it worked great.

Good wireless printer for the price

This printer is easy to use and set up using Windows 10. I got disgusted with my HP wireless, which I could never get to work right with either WIndows 8 or 10. This printer set up and started working fine right away. Only issue I have is having all the separate ink cartridges, which seem like a pain to install. The paper supply kept inside the printer on a small tray. You also have to have the paper output tray pulled out in order to get it to print. Have tried making copies, which also works fine, but have not tried the scanner feature yet. Overall would be good for a small home office, or general home use for the $$.

    Great Printing/Cumbersom Paper Handling

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

We love the quality of the prints, but the paper handling is cumbersome. There are three media trays: 8.5x11, 4x6, and optical disc. But the receiving tray has to be pulled out before printing can start, but it has to be pushed in to load the media trays. It is nice to have internal 2-sided printing, but having the receiving tray out increases the footprint of the printer and makes loading the media trays more complicated. Oh yeah, the ink is expensive: a full set of tanks is greater than the purchase price of the printer.

Glad to see a sturdy output tray. The output tray on my previous Epson printer broke. Sad to see the price went down in only 2 months.

Nice printer but goes through ink like water.

A decent printer, paper trays may confuse the average joe, photo scanning is easy and the wireless support is a breeze, the ink will cost you a pretty penny, we don't print TOO many articles or recipies, mostly resumes and letters, and in 6 months, we've brought in 3 times. If the black goes dry but you have ink in the other three, the machine pratically becomes inoperable. You get what you pay for, I guess. If you're a college student writing tons of papers or a struggling author dealing with rewrites, this is NOT the printer for you.

As good as expected from an Epson product.

Does everything as well as possible at that price point. FOR HOME USE, where speed is not of paramount importance. My only niggle would be that the document catch tray has to be pulled out before the unit will print ANYTHING. Sometimes it would be easier to just catch a single sheet as it comes out as is possible on other printers. But you get used to it.

    Returned printer

I needed an inexpensive printer to print some photos - not needing high quality. I got this one on sale for a good price. I went to set up, I never got past assembling the paper tray - I could not adjust it to fit paper for the longest time and then I could not get the CD tray to go back in. It was ridiculous.

    difficult to print

I have a Mac and it takes a lot of work to print anything. Select print from File menu and it gets stuck at "connecting to printer". I stop the print job, check for software update, remove the printer, add the printer and retry printing. Requires an IT guy to print. Printing should "just work."

Changing ink cartridges is the worst

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

When it works, it works. But changing the ink cartridges is at least a half hour task every single time, instead of the 30 seconds it should take to pop in a new one. No matter what we do, we always get an error message saying the printer cannot recognize the ink cartridge, that is brand new straight out of the package. The only reason we still have it is because I’m a student, but I’m actively saving up for something completely different.

    Good Pics, Ripoff Ink

This printer seems all nice and efficient and even prints good pictures, but between the amount of ink it burns through and the ridiculously microscopic size of the ink cartridges AND the cartridge cost, I would recommend going with a printer with cartridges you can refill. No, you cannot refill these cartridges.
