    Not A Question

I literally fretted about digitizing the zillion pictures, kids homework, important documents and such. I had the older model with the 600 dpi and felt I wanted the additional dpi this model offered. It is so effortless to scan many pictures that re-digitizing the previous scans is absolutely a breeze. This is a magical machine that does its work with high quality but it also delivers peace of mind...I can't say that about many machines.

    What a great photo scanner

I was very happy with how terrific this scanner scanned several thousand photos. All of the negative issues I had read about on that big river store reviews were an issue. I suspect that problems in the first generation scanner elicited negative reviews which that store often lists under next-generation products, If you want a fast solution to scanning your photographs this is probably your best choice. Please note that it will not scan Polaroid One Step photos.

Exactly what I was looking for to quickly scan thousands of old family photos, stacks at a time. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. My parents had dozens of envelopes full of photos, and i got them scanned over two weekends to share will family. Sort the photos by size for best results

The Epson Fast Foto scanner was easy to set up and connect to WiFi. Its scans were fast, about 1 scan/second, with no jams as long as each batch has photos of the same size. Polaroids are thicker than regular photo paper and had to be put through one at a time. This device makes fast work of what is a slow, tedious task on a flatbed scanner.

Bought this to scan in the family's photo collection -- over 8,000 pictures. It made the process SO MUCH easier--I never would have completed it with a flat scanner. Its also amazing our it gives you the original scan, an enhanced version of the scan (which always was impressive) and it scans the back if there is something there. These three files are then named so you can group them together. Just figure out your naming convention before going full speed. Run a test or two and you will see what I mean. Not a problem, just give it some thought first. A 2nd note, my Surface Pro would sometimes not find the scanner (I used USB), but a restart of the Surface Pro resolved that.

This scanner is really fast and the software does a pretty good job of enhancing the old photos. The software helps to organize and label your photos but you have to pay close attention to the settings at all times. It's worth the extra money to get one that can scan stacks of photos instead of one at a time.

This scanner does what is says it does. It does scan 40 pictures in under a minute. The reason I gaive four stars is it will not scan Polaroids or pictures that may have adhesive residue on them. They get stuck in the inside. If all your pictures are in good shape, it works perfectly.

Easy setup, software is simple (and simple to use) and does a good job of cleaning up red eye and brightness. Scan speed is impressive. With the great spec's and good reviews I was expecting better quality and results. Bought this more expensive photo scanner instead of other less expensive similar looking Epson "document" because thought the quality would be better. Maybe my expectation was just to high for scans of photo prints from my old 35mm film camera.
