This scanner does an excellent job of scanning pictures quickly and in high quality. Setup was very easy and the software clearly guides you on how to properly scan. Two copies can be made of each picture scan... one of the original image and a second enhanced copy. The enhanced copy settings can be adjusted to automatically remove red eye, repair the picture edge and brighten dull colors. Scanned copies look as if they were taken directly by a digital camera. Scans can take as little as seconds or up to several minutes if scanned in high quality. There are multiple options to label and organize scans. The device is very compact when closed up and it easily expands for the document feeder, controls and tray access. This is the best scanner I've ever used and they only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because of the high cost. It you have a lot of pictures that need to be scanned, and would like the highest quality , this device is well worth the money.

Fairly decent speeds. (once you ignore the fairly ridiculous 300 dpi and the fake 1200 dpi... so the one remaining setting : 600) I'm rather a traditionalist so the goofy photo "enhancements" were quickly ignored. Ran though, I don't know, couple hundred small 3x5 prints. As they tended to fly all over the floor I set the output tray much smaller. Here is when things when awry. (sure a good chunk of user - well I won't call it error - happened) The international company known for printing advertises "sure, shove 36 pictures of any size in here and go for it! and for the privilege we charge you quite a few Benjamin but boy you're gonna be happy!" Put the last few 3x5s in there with a good chunk of 8x10s (which can only be scanned vertically btw) and proceeded on my way. (PC and scanner are in different rooms.) Went to check after a few and a good half dozen of the 8x10s were mangled/bent in half because of the output tray I had to make smaller to keep the smaller pics from flying all over the floor. Yeah, I should have thought better. More YEAH tho - they should have a design that can handle scanning various sizes in one batch - which as mentioned - they advertise! Or don't advertise and advise against it. Anyway of course, would have kept it even only having decent resolution, but back it goes for this idiocy. 6 irreplaceable photos for $500 pile of plastic - nah.

The Epsom FastFoto FF-680W makes good quality scans at 300, 600 or 1200 dpi. The scanner feeds quickly with few misfeeds unless item is very small or item is not uniform thickness. Easy to clear jams. Processing of images on computer is the slowest part. Love that it also captures an image of the back if photos are labeled!

The scanner is nice & fast but the software is not great! If you try to add additional pictures into the file name that already exists & has pictures, it will wipe out those pictures!!! So dumb! The scanning is super fast so I could recommend it for that, but not for the photo software.

Not Wireless, Quality Just OK, Great Ease of Use

I am not sure how well the unit works beyond, 100 to 200 pictures which are just OK as I expected before I bought it, because i needed the wireless I thought I bought. I am sure there is a way to hook it up but I expected it would be like our three iPads, three Samsung TVs, and two printers, two Apple TVs, one computer, eg 15 minutes each all set to go except in the case of one Samsung, I had my password problem, clearly my fault. As of now I get a message that I don’t have a special kind or type of connection that doesn’t exist on my 10 year or my one year old computers. I just don’t want to take the hours required to fix, which I am sure I can.
