This thing is so fast and so smart. Very awesome. It auto-sizes all the photos and the software is easy enough to navigate. Struggles with really tiny pictures but that’s understandable.

This scanner makes it so easy to digitize your boxes of old photos. At the normal resolution, it will scan 1 photo/sec using the document feeder. Will also scan the backs, and does some pretty good pic enhancements automatically.

The key is downloading the software first. I've used it as a document and photo scanner. It worked very well in both cases. I tried a stack of photos and it worked perfectly. The end of photo albums is near.

Fastest photo scanner I have seen. Does a very good job at 300 dpi and a fabulous job at 600 and 1200 dpi. It also does a great job at documents. Just as fast and clear. Nice compact design that easily folds up to help keep the dust out.

There are a few little picadillos that would prevent this from being 100% perfect but you'll forgive them as you plow through stacks and stacks of photographs with ease. It's almost more work deriving a functional naming convention to help you organize the collateral, than it is actually scanning. Keep the scanner clean periodically. AND if possible, use the somewhat short USB 3.0 cable and plug directly into your computer. This will just make things quicker and avoid the sometime hassle of the Wi-Fi settings. If you have piles of photographs awaiting scanning, this is the one you need. If gramma wrote on the backs of the pix, even better - you can scan the backs automatically with the fronts. Fan-freakin-tastic. Even better, get some friends together and make a group purchase. I got mine on sale for $499. Still worth every penny.

I have been using it to scan old pictures that my mom and dad had. It works great and is fast. The photos are coming out great and I love how it does both sides so if there is writing on the back you get those also.

This is a great machine. I could be happier if the interface with my desktop were a little faster but it might be my older desktop. Scanning in family photo form my mothers garage and works smooth. just be sure to keep the sizes together when scanning to prevent jams.

It was worth every penny. I had tons of pictures from my grandma's house when we cleaned it out after her death. I love the speed and quality of the scanning since I have thousands of photos to scan and share with my family. Grandpa, grandma's second husband, my uncle, and I all have a photography hobby and I ended up with huge boxes from them. This scanner is fast and I'm pleased that it captures both sides in case they've noted the subject in the back. The hard part is organizing them after, but the software that comes with it tries to help by grouping by date. The machine folds up nicely for easy storage when not in use.

I've scanned several thousand photos and thousands of pages of documents. It's very fast. I've scanned over 1,000 photos in a weekend. I've scanned a full binder of a few hundred pages, double sided, and OCR, in under. 10 minutes. The longest part was feeding pages in batches. You can feed about 50 photos/pages at a time. At 300dpi, it scans at least one photo per second. So 50 photos scanned in under a minute. I was reluctant to buy this initially because of the price. I have a flatbed scanner and was debating if this was worth the money. After having it for over a year, I can say without any hesitation that it's definitely worth the cost if you have thousands of photos and/or documents to scan. The time I saved is worth far more than what this cost.

This is an amazing photo scanners that can scan large stacks of photos at very fast speeds with very high image quality. I had looked at several types of photo scanners but many were listed as document scanners that can do photos. This is primarily suited for photo scanning with ways to scan documents when you need it. I had a little trouble getting the wifi connection working since I have multiple vlans. Be sure your phone is connected to the same wifi you are setting the scanner to and it goes smoothly. It is very helpful that the software can optionally gather information about a group of photos including date and description. When dates are entered, the date of the resulting file is also set which helps keep photos cronological in photo album libraries. I store photos directly to my hard drive, but it can automatically upload to Google Drive or Dropbox which is great for most users. It also has a special holder that can scan photos that are at risk of being damaged. I also like that all of the entry and exit holders collapse to shrink to a very small format when not being used. Overall, if you have tons of old photos you want to preserve without a lot of work, I highly recommend this photo scanner.
