This scanner exceeded all expectations. The speed of scans were exceptional and the quality of the scans were terrific. The color and lighting corrections made old faded or discolored photos look like new. Prior to the purchase, I had balked at the price but once I used the product I was thrilled with the results. I’ve scanned over 3,000 photos without a glitch… with one exception: Polaroids can be a bit problematic due to their thickness.

Buy this one if you have LOTS of photos you need to digitize. You can scan batches of 50 photos all at once. If you sort your photos carefully both by size & date, subject &/or date, the scanner will ask you several questions prior to scanning then create the proper folder system for each batch of photos. Also, it can scan multiple page documents front & back on one pass. Then you get a chance to edit everything before it stores it! Fantastic!

Our goal was to digitize all of our photos and organize them in a cloud based online family album. We succeeded in doing this in part due to this product. By far this is the best print photo scanner for the money on the market. Not only does it scan batches of prints in various sizes, it enhances the photos as you scan with built-in technology. Be aware it doesn't scan slides. You will need a different scanner for that. There is also a limit on the size of print, both large and small, that can be scanned.

This scanner is great! I have not used it personally but my husband has and he loves it. Like so many people, over the last year we have been "cleaning out" all the bins and boxes that have been put aside. My husband has been scanning pictures and he said it is fabulous. You can load many pictures at one time and he said it is just amazing how quickly they all get scanned. I do wish it would take 8x10 size and/or slides, but it can't scan either. Even with that drawback, it is still a great product.

This scanner is as good as advertised. Scans very quickly, scans piles of 20-30 at a time, produces very clear images. The internal "improve the picture" might not always be useful, but I've seen plenty of improvement from "original." Especially older prints. NICE!

Scanner was extremely easy to set up. Software installation and connection (note: for scanners I prefer a plug-in connection and not wireless) to a Surface Pro was seamless. The user manual provides sufficient detailed information to select the user specified settings to meet your needs. The quality of the scanned photos was excellent for for archiving family photos. 1. I selected the highest resolution along with with the option to color correct and scan hand-written text on the back of the photo. This results in three files per photo. 2. you can select a jpeg or tiff file 3. you can select amongst three photo types (standard to panoramic) as my photos are from the early 1900s to the 60's, the paper sizes and paper quality varies. So far, I've had no issues with jamming. Basically, use common sense with old, frayed edged photos. I have fed the photos through singly and in batches of up to ten without issue. so bottom line....I'm very happy with the unit so far.

This scanner is very effective at scanning multiple pictures at a time. It is easy to learn how to use. The only issue is that it has somewhat limited tools to improve the quality of photos once they are scanned.

I have many many photos to scan. The FF-680W is the solution. Have scanned over 400 pictures in about three hours. this includes taking them out of the sleeves, sorting by size and then running through the scanner. It really does make good scans in 1 second per picture. The auto enhance mode works great. The result is a good clear picture even on the old pale ones. The double sided scan works great also. I have only had this a few days but so far it is great and living up to the advertisements. It took a while to get familiar with the settings, but now they are easy.

This photo scanner does a great job when you have many photos to scan. It has an auto-feeder tray, and saves the scans directly to disc, in a folder you choose. Very fast - 1 or 2 seconds per photo. The auto-feeder works great, very few jams, which are easily cleared when they occur. Quality of the scans is very good, and you can choose 300, 600, or 1200 dpi. An excellent scanner, but the technical support is not good. That's why I rate it only 4 stars. I had a little trouble installing the software, and emailed tech support. They replied quickly, but gave me ridiculous advice - "re-install the software, make sure the cable is plugged in, make sure it's turned on", etc. No help at all. I eventually figured it out without their help, and I'm no expert with PCs.

This photo scanner worked better than expected when I initially purchased it. I scanned 380 photos in about 30 minutes after setting it up in my workspace. Over the next several days I scanned about 100 more photos including some large family photos. Then I went to use the scanner, the scanning process went through without any error messages but when I went to edit the photos they were not available to edit. After several tries I uninstalled all the software and reinstalled it to attempt to resolve the issue. Unfortunately I was unable to resolve the issue and continue scanning photos so I returned the scanner to Best Buy in hopes of exchanging it but the local store did not stock this item.
