Superfast photo scanner
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As most my age, we had boxes of old photos. We even had all of my Father-In-Law's WWII photos from his service in the Phillipines. I worried a disaster could destroy a lifetime of memories. This scanner blows through photos fast. Even at 1200 DPI. The software also does a nice job of correcting colors. Everything is scanned and backed up. Backup drive is kept in a fire safe. Very pleased. I highly recommend anyone with piles of photos do the same.

Super fast way to scan photos
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had boxes of photos from ancestors and of our own making that we needed to store. This scanner makes very short work if a daunting project. We didn’t see how to scan directly to storage at first and spent more time transferring from the FastFoto storage than we needed to. Look at the settings tab to store pics directly to external or internal computer memory. The picture are usually cleaned up esp from yellowed Kodachrome pics. We’ve been more than happy

Excellent performance
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.FF680W I've scanned about 5,000 photos in the last week or so. Color correction is great. One jam due to crumpled corner of photo. A few other jams due to mixing sizes such that smaller photo not lining up with leading edge of bigger photos. Either scan same size, or line up leading edges. Really good, consistent results.

Great Scanner
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been the best purchase I have made to scan and store the hard copies of my photos. I’ve already scanned more than 10,000 photos with this scanner and it still works perfectly. Scans about 50 photos in approx 5 min. depending on the resolution that you scan them in.

Worked like a charm!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perfect to get the scanning of pictures for a funeral program turned in on time. After 3 stops at large companies that doing this job was not efficient last minute! Fast and good quality outcome.

limited capabilities once scanned, but scans quick
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This scanner does everything it says it can do. I would have given 5 stars if the program was more interactive and compatible with more photo editing tools/programs. Not much different from scanning with a regular all in one printer/scaner. The PDF files were better than the jpeg. scanned really fast just as stated in the description. I do not have a drop box account, so I am nor sure of the editing capabilities once in there. I do not like that all the pictures are stored in the scanner app which makes it difficult to search and utilize the pictures.

Finally getting my photos scanned!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been trying for years to digitize our family photos. Something about the reviews of this scanner drew me in and I splurged and purchased it. It connected easily to my computer and I was off scanning boxes upon boxes of photos. The quality of the scans is excellent and I have yet to have to change how it edits the old photos. Rather than being a burden, I am actually having fun!

This is my latest indispensable piece of equipment
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The more I use my FF-680W the more I like it. My latest thing is to convert monthly financial reports I receive to pdf files, which take up no physical space, but which are immediately available if I need to review old reports. The scanning is very rapid and once a report has been scanned, I can get rid of the hard copy, which takes up considerable space. The Epson Technical Support is also excellent and was invaluable helping me initially set up the FF-680W.

A good choice!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This scanner is really fast and the software does a pretty good job of enhancing the old photos. The software helps to organize and label your photos but you have to pay close attention to the settings at all times. It's worth the extra money to get one that can scan stacks of photos instead of one at a time.

Fantastic Scanner
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to scan in the family's photo collection -- over 8,000 pictures. It made the process SO MUCH easier--I never would have completed it with a flat scanner. Its also amazing our it gives you the original scan, an enhanced version of the scan (which always was impressive) and it scans the back if there is something there. These three files are then named so you can group them together. Just figure out your naming convention before going full speed. Run a test or two and you will see what I mean. Not a problem, just give it some thought first. A 2nd note, my Surface Pro would sometimes not find the scanner (I used USB), but a restart of the Surface Pro resolved that.

Not A Question
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I literally fretted about digitizing the zillion pictures, kids homework, important documents and such. I had the older model with the 600 dpi and felt I wanted the additional dpi this model offered. It is so effortless to scan many pictures that re-digitizing the previous scans is absolutely a breeze. This is a magical machine that does its work with high quality but it also delivers peace of mind...I can't say that about many machines.

Great for Digitizing Photos
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Epson Fast Foto scanner was easy to set up and connect to WiFi. Its scans were fast, about 1 scan/second, with no jams as long as each batch has photos of the same size. Polaroids are thicker than regular photo paper and had to be put through one at a time. This device makes fast work of what is a slow, tedious task on a flatbed scanner.
