My wife had 100s of pictures which she wanted to scan to protect them and have them digitally available. The Epson FastFoto was easy to use - it handled the actual photos effortlessly and the software image storing process with straightforward and easy to use.

Follow the steps and you’ll get all your pictures in an electronic format that you can touch up if needed. I have generations of pictures and it makes for a rainy day project. Gifting to other family members so they have them too.

It does a great job scanning photos, and it is convenient to have both photo and document scanning capabilities in one piece of equipment The document scanning process is very basic but works. The only problem I've had is in scanning documents on thick paper or that are odd shapes. I've had to use my old flat bed scanner for anything besides a regular sheet of paper.

If you want to digitize pictures or papers this unit will do the work as fast as you can feed to unit. 300 dpi or 600 dpi - no problem. Copy your scans directly into IPhoto too along with labeling them into categories that let you know where to look for what you want.

Bought this for our business as well as for our family photos. Only used it so far for the business. Scanning documents then saving them to an external hard drive has eliminated a LOT of paper in the filing cabinets. Satisfied!

I love this product! I also have an Epson flatbed scanner that is great, but the ease of use with this scanner is well worth the price I paid. It's expensive, but if you have a lot of photos to scan you'll save a lot of time over a flatbed.

I love this scanner! I have many many family photos from the 40's up to recent. Works very well and will read the back of the prints also! I have it set to 600dpi and 4x6 takes 2-3 seconds per picture. The document scans are also very quick!

Although, we have not had this scanner very long, I would recommend it. The pictures that we have scanned look great and it scans very fast. It is very pricey though but to us it was worth it. Thankfully we caught it on sale.

I purchased this scanner to scan boxes and boxes of old family photos. My goal is to preserve them and be able to share them with my kids as they are getting older. Rarely am I overimpressed with a product, but this one is the exception. It was more than I had hoped for. I've scanned over 3500 photos at this point and it has not had any jams, errors or faults. Disclaimer: I'm not a professional photographer so I can't give an "expert" analysis of color, but I can say that it is perfect for what I expect. I had a few envelopes with photos that also had the photo CD from Kodak. I scanned them anyway and the scans were superior to the files on the photo CD.
