Great scanner
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent choice for a scanner for documents as it is very fast and efficient. I haven’t scanned photos yet, but expect it will be the same great result in performance as with documents.

Wonderful
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have thousands of family photos. I've been dreading digitizing them. This scanner really helps. It is fast even on the highest resolution. The software can name each scanned image with a month or season, year and description and then it creates a subdirectory by that same name. This fits with the directory names I use with my digital photos. I have a 65" 4K TV and the images look great...not as good as an image taken with a digital camera...but very good. Hint..after scanning photos use the included software to orient the photos. I didn't do that at first and had trouble viewing on the TV even though they looked okay on the computer. I have not yet scanned any paper documents just photo prints. I had no problem setting up the scanner. I've scanned over a thousand images so far.

Little Dynamo
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have scanned over 50,000 photos and 20,000 notes on notebook paper on this little dynamo! I love how it reads both sides of the paper without manually flipping over the photo. I made some mistakes at the beginning because I didn't use the proper settings. I would recommend setting for the best quality and check the scans to make sure the scanner is cleaned. Some photos I will need to use my flatbed scanner, but I am impressed the quantity and ease of use. Highly recommend.

Would highly recommend despite multiple jams
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would actually give the Epson - FastFoto FF-680W Wireless High-speed Photo Scanning System a 4.5 score because it does a great job with the quality of the scan, but I find that it jams A LOT. I can scan about 3 stacks of pictures in no time, but then I have to clear the jam and then wipe down the glass on the inside. The quality of the scans are wonderful. I've scanned 19 photo albums so far, and I am very happy with the quality of the scanned photos. I like the fact that I can choose the quality of the scan (300 dpi, 600 dpi or 1200 dpi) and I have switched it up depending on the type of photo I am scanning. I have about 20 more photo albums to go, so I hope the "jamming" doesn't continue. Other than than, I am so happy I purchased this scanner. We are saving a ton of room by getting rid of the photo albums. Additionally, I love the fact that I can scan and send them to family members! Despite the jamming, I would highly recommend this photo scanner!!

Great scanner
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This scanner is great. It is very user friendly, especially for those folks such as myself that are not tech savvy! I was able to scan a couple of hundred pictures in a matter of minutes.

Scanner
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good machine. A little weak on the set up and installation. I already own the 500 model and this model is the closest one to it that the store had available. It really would be needed to call the helpline to get it up and running. The trick to bear in mind is that you need to use the cable to set up the machine. Then after that, the wireless feature takes over. Further, you must install both the photo scanner and document scanner software individually. Two separate installations!! When you are finished, you will also have two different icons for each function. Best to just call customer service in Canada. There is one more step in scanning using this machine. An intermediate screen comes up after scanning which prompts you to save the scan to different locations. Probably four plus rating. It works quite well.

Excellent photo scanner
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have followed all the reviews on this photo scanner for over a year before I purchased it. It is a wonderful scanner. I have processed Polaroids, pictures from 1960/1970/1980 using three different types of film, school pics, 8X10, etc. I have scanned over 4,000 pics in two weeks, with 4,000 more to go. The software has some minor flaws. Sometimes, the program closes for no reason. Sometimes, the "clean the scanner" shows up too often for me. I clean the photos beforehand, so I only clean the scanner after scanning 300 pics. Takes seconds to do. I think the editing features could use some tweaking. Surprised that you can edit, but you cannot crop a pic. Plus, there are two editing windows. Easier with one. Something Epson should work on. Overall, this is a very serious scanner for every day use and for those like myself who have boxes and boxes of pics. I have no regrets in buying it.

Compact, Quick and Amazingly Good !
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Expensive but after using this little guy for the task of digitally archiving all our vacation and family photo's (for which we have a ton of), we are very pleased with the quality. Some photo's you may have to go back and use a photo editor to enhance some that don't capture the exact look of the original. However, for the everyday vacation and party photo's it works wonderfully. Love the fact that with a few clicks you can set up a naming series of photos like "Hawaii Vacation 2021" and all the photos you feed it will be named with that along with a count number. That in it's self is a great feature and saves a lot of time going back and renaming all your saved copies.

nice photo scanner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.scans old photos quickly without ruining them. The scan quality is ok, definitely better than most but photoshop is needed if you want them to look like originals (which may have faded over time).
