Preformed better than expected even after reading all reviews and deciding to go for it. Definitely is not meant to scan word/letter docs. but pics up writing on back of pics great! Well worth the money spent with all the photos I've been able to scan into digital format knowing they now have backups!

But at least I have the memories safe from damage from the elements by having them in digital form. The scanning is the easy part. It's very tedious to have to organize them before you start scanning, which I highly recommend. It is also super time consuming to go through all of the scanned fotos and turn them around and also decide if the enhanced version the scanner gives you is better than the original. It's not always the case that the enhanced is the best version. Also, I am not confident in my technological skills, and I was able to do this all by myself.

Easy, fast, BUT scan quality is not great

Makes scanning a lot of photos pretty easy and straightforward. BUT, the quality of the scans and the auto-correct are sub-optimal. Blacks are grey, and grain is added. And other than some broad corrections options, no detailed correction settings are available. For quick mass archiving, it's okay...but if you want quality scans of your photos, this is not the machine

It is fast, it can scan both side of photo and paper. But as as a photo scanner it is terrible. It feeds thru well but the quality of the scan is only fair at best. Its not worth the price. I'm sorry I bought it.
