Works better than I anticipated. I really like that it scans both sides in one pass. Not thrilled with the software but the scanner works good.

This would have gotten 5 stars but i did have issues in getting the WiFi up and running and ended up just using it through USB, but that issue is outweighed by the ease of use and the speed at which it can do the scans. Also the fact that it scans the back is amazing. Word of advice though is to make sure you take out duplicates prior to scanning!

I like the two side one pass fast scanning. Photo scanning multiple same size also very fast and acceptable for my needs. Only wish Software was a bit more flexible in Creating and Naming target folders in different pages.

The supporting documents are not that clear but you may not need them because it is so simple that you can do it with few click to your choice. I am using it for pictures not yet on documents but it seems doing a good job. Price is high!

The only complaint I have is that because I am right handed, I tend to turn the printer off with the side of my hand when I load pictures. I have to keep starting it and waiting a moment for it to initialize. It would have been better if they would have put the power button elsewhere and not where your hand naturally rests when loading pictures.

The Epson FastFoto FF-680W can automatically scan a lot of pictures in little time; but, the images are not as clean and crisp as a quality flatbed scanner. If you have a lot of pictures, though, this is the way to go.

Easy to set up and scan pictures. Improved color and clarity of pictures taken as far back as 1920's. A plus that it was on sale.

This is a great scanner if you want to go Paperless. You can have OCR capability to make your scanned documents searchable and you can scan both sides of the paper in one pass! These are both ESSENTIAL features to create a paperless office!

Scanner Pauses For Long Time At Higher DPI Setting

Great design...but expensive and pauses for long durations when scanning. It runs much slower when scanning at higher dpi settings. The pausing is the worse part about it. Paused on me for approx 3 minutes a few times. Tried it on different computers, both pc and mac....same thing....pausing at higher dpi setting. Also make sure you change settings depending what kind of picture you're scanning (eg. polaroid, standard). Found it to be very sensitive to those settings as well.
