I love the quality my kids love playing their video games on the over 100 inches screen.

It does the job for very basic home cinema stuff however it's kind of in the price range of "starting to get decent but not great" the onboard speaker is very bad and the throw ranges are very poor, however the brightness is pretty decent. I would recommend spending or saving a bit more and buy a 2150 instead since it has a much better throw range, color contrast and way better speaker by default.

I am pleased with this projector so far. The quality of the image exceeded my expectations. It connected with my MacBook Pro quite easily, too.

I had always wanted the thrill of a projector, but had some misconceptions. Projectors are too big, too difficult to mount, and can never be moved. Or so I thought. This projector corrected those misconceptions right out of the box. I easily had it set up and properly framed in 30 minutes. I referred to nothing other than the quick set up sheet and the intuitive controls and adjustments. I ran a long HDMI cable from my receiver, which gave the most flexibility for placement. At 10 to 12 feet from the wall, the projected picture was huge and crisp. I don't have a screen yet. I have got to decide where to mount one. My impressions on the picture quality come from watching on a light grey wall, in a dark room. I was simply blown away. With a proper screen, the brightness and contrast will be appreciably better. I wanted an initial set up where my speakers and sub-woofer were available to enhance the sound. I was not disappointed. But this projector is light enough to carry and move around for presentations outside the home, or outside, for that matter. So many choices, so little time. There are better projectors, certainly more expensive ones, but for the money and the versatility, this one would be difficult to eclipse. It also has a built in speaker for mobile presentations. Just another convenience. Noise and heat are always a consideration for projectors. Physics gets in the way of what we ask them to do, but the result is worth it. I give this unit a passing grade on both counts. I am going to have to decide exactly how I want to get it set up for semi-permanent viewing and the room in my media room and how best to use it in other environments. Such a happy dilemma!
