Awesome entry-level projector
It wasn't the model that I researched but it met most of my criteria and was on sale for $550. I was hesitant to buy this, mostly because of Best Buy's ridiculous restocking fee, but I'm glad I did. I use this mostly to watch sling, netflix, hulu, and play xbox. Pros: 2 HDMI inputs 1080p Easy to aim with quick corner Quiet and lightweight Cons: No audio out Fan runs non stop Cheap and wobbly front adjustment foot Owners manual is on a CD Overall I think this is a great projector for anyone that wants a big screen experience for the price of a smaller flat screen.

So happy with this purchase!
Let me begin by saying...I hate researching products. But when I decided to get a home projector for outdoor use I decided to educate myself on projectors so I could decide what was right for my use. I purchased this because my son was turning 13. With Covid, a traditional birthday party was out of the question. We decided he could invite a few friends over on his birthday for an outdoor movie night. He wasn't thrilled with this idea (we have watched so many movies during Covid lockdown) but he changed his tune when he asked if he could connect his Nintendo Switch to the projector and if they could play video games before the movie. "Absolutely", was my answer. My priority for a projector was to have one that I didn't need total darkness to see the projection (video games + movie = long night). I wanted high lumens with a quality picture at an affordable price. After a lot of internal stress (remember, I hate researching products...) I decided on the Epson Home Cinema 1060 and am SO happy with this purchase. The boys came over at 5pm and after a little outdoor play and fast food burgers they were ready to play games. My son hooked up his Nintendo at 6pm in the middle of September and they were able to play video games on it. I was amazed that we could see the projection while it was still mostly daylight. Keep in mind, the screen was on the garage door, which made it a little shaded...but it worked. Since I didn't want to deal with WiFi connection issues outside, I downloaded the movie to my iPhone and used a lightning to HDMI connector to connect to the projector. I then used a bluetooth speaker connected to my iPhone for sound. That being said, this projector has a nice speaker on it. Would be perfect for an inside movie but since we were outside with teenagers, the bluetooth speaker helped. When parents picked up they were amazed at the quality of the picture (boys were back to playing video games). I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants an amazing projector but doesn't want to spend thousands of dollars. (Please ignore the headless teen in the picture...tech is not my strongpoint and when trying to blur out faces the whole head came off). hehe

Awesome projector for the price!
This is my first projector and I definitely believe I made the right choice. I wanted the 3LCD by Epson and 1080p. I don't need 4K or 3D. I will say that HD or 4K makes more of a difference on a larger projected image than your standard TV. But even upscaled DVDs look great. You can see the resolution difference in the text and menus though. I'll include a photo of a DVD at 100in. Blu-ray looks awesome though! The key with getting the best image is to mount at the proper distance & height from the screen so no or very little keystone correction has to be made. You're digitally altering the image at that point. I have the bulb brightness set on ECO mode and is plenty bright for me. Get more hours out of the bulb too! 7500 hours they estimate. What's great though is the bulbs are only $50 to replace. The menus on the projector did glitch up on me one time. But I rebooted and it was fine. No issues since. Epson has a great 2-year warranty that covers parts & labor. Bulb is covered for 90 days. I highly recommend this projector. Sometimes it's hard to go back to my 50" plasma!
