Over all I would buy another projector!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quality of the picture was amazing. Audio is just like what you would expect from a projector. As far as setup it was fairly easy to set up and was comparable with my devices. Smart features came in very handy, however it did required a bunch of updates. Even though I bough this a little over 3 years ago until it finally just broke. There was one year that it had a very minimum usage so I felt like I got 2 good years of highly usage. Meaning using it for at least 5 times per week whit an average of 2-3 per day. Brightness was good even during light when inside the house. Outside use in the afternoon whit Sade was perfect. For under a patio. I would finally buy another projector as it helps bring the family together.

Great Picture and Serviceable Smart Functionality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Projectors have certainly advanced in recent years. My last projector was an enthusiast level 1080p DLP projector that I purchased about 5 years ago and cost more than the 2250 while offering less features. I tested using the in-built AndroidTV streaming as well as an XBOX Series X for gaming and UHD Blurays. Setup was a breeze as my phone handled everything for me after asking it to set up a new device via OK Google. Network connectivity has been rock solid and I've had no problems with using the apps. My only complaint in the software dept is that YouTubeTV is not offered in the play store. I'm sure I could find a way to sideload it if it's not added down the road. Physical setup was also a smooth experience thanks to the amount of adjustability the lens has. Having physical controls for vertical shift and horizontal keystone along with zoom and focus definitely beat digging through menus. The fan on the Home Cinema 2250 does make a bit of noise but it is far quieter than my older Optoma and isn't really noticeable while watching content at normal volumes with the projector mounted on the ceiling. On to the important stuff, picture quality. First off, the contrast ratio is way better than I expected and that was even before using a grey screen. The picture is nice and bright with a good bit of pop. It handled motion very well and I didn't notice any distracting artifacts. I was also a little worried about screen door effect due to it being LCD but I tested it up to 200 inches and while sitting about 10 ft away and had no issues. I normally run it at 120 inches and it looks amazing! I've noticed a few people have had issues with using the Bluetooth function but that was not my experience. I used a portable speaker for my initial testing and did not have audio sync issues. I believe this will come down to the codec your speakers support as that is a major limitation of bluetooth. However, regardless of the codec I would never consider using bluetooth as my primary connection for any serious audio due to bandwidth limitations. If I'm going through the effort to setup a projector and screen I'm also going to use a more substantial audio solution. So I see bluetooth as a more gewizz, useful in a pinch, if I use it portable. I will say that I am a little disappointed that they only offer a 3.5mm output instead of RCA or ARC, but that is something that is completely forgotten about after setup. TL;DR Great picture, easy set-up, good Android TV implementation, but with limited audio connections and bluetooth dependant on your speakers codecs. Very happy and impressed with this projector overall as my main priority is image quality for projectors.

Epson Home Cinema Projector TV
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This really is an amazing product that brings the cinema experience into your home or office. Based on Epson’s innovative 3LCD technology, this small device packs a big punch. The core of its design is the 3LCD 3-chip architecture. The science behind the 3-chip architecture dedicates an entire chip to processing each primary color continuously throughout the media being viewed. It works by using a system of dichroic mirrors and 3 individual LCD chips. The 3 chips control red, green and blue light which is the basis of viewing color when it involves light and electricity. When RGB is projected through light, the overlap gives all the colors of the visible spectrum and the overlap of all three equally produces white light or what is visibly viewed as brightness. The result is continuous full spectrum color that is vibrant, dynamic, true to life and realistic color images and video. This technology offers better color saturation, eliminates all rainbow effects, color lags, etc. that are collectively typically referred to as color noise. The 3 LCD technology works great for movies and delivering HD cinema like video and that is the basis of what makes the Epson Home Cinema 2250 1080p one terrific projector. But this projector even gets better! The Epson 2250f also houses Android TV and is designed to wirelessly stream your favorite TV show, movie, sporting event, game, etc. With this Projector, projecting onto a screen or wall produces an amazing cinema experience where the true color 3LCD projection creates true to life, Best-in-Class Color Brightness that visually has an astounding contrast ratio of up to 70,000:1 and up to 4K. The vivid colors come to life and the HD picture quality really is stunning. In addition to the wireless connectivity that allows seamless streaming from multiple devices, the unit is also equipped with an HDMI connection that allows for projecting from a Blu-ray player, gaming console, satellite box, or cable. Typical of Epson, the images are color enhanced, crisp and smooth. The picture is ultra-bright displaying 2700 lumens of color/white brightness. By using the 3LCD technology 100 percent of the Red/Green/Blue color is distributed through every frame. With the unit’s 10-w built in speaker, this projector is an easy setup for HD entertainment. It even allows for changing the position of the image without moving the projector up or down. Epson really stands behind their products. On this product they offer a 2 – year warranty with full replacement of the entire unit should something technical happen to the product during the 2-year period. They also offer free technical phone support for the life of the product. In the box is the Home Cinema 2250 Projector, a Remote Control/Batteries, and the Power Cable. With the wireless connectivity, the HDMI, the built-in speaker, etc. it takes no time at all to get totally up and running for full HD entertainment experience. If you are ready to experience a home cinema atmosphere, this is a super product that you should definitely give thought to trying.

Great projectors are affordable now!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Epson Home Cinema 2250 has opened my eyes and made me a believer in projectors. Let’s cut to the chase as to why. This projector is capable of producing an amazing level of clarity even at a 120-inch “screen” size. It does this for the price of $999. No, it's not 4K. No, it doesn’t really matter. Not once while using this projector have I felt the image quality wasn’t good or acceptable. I was seriously worried whether a 1080p image would be usable while projecting such a large image. If you have that concern, don’t let it stop you from getting this projector. The features which make this projector very friendly are the ability to zoom in and out to be more flexible to where you can place your projector. You can also take advantage of some panning adjustments, both vertical and horizontal. That means you can place it at an angle and still get a “flat” image on your wall or screen. I have noticed some people have complained about Bluetooth audio connection. I had an issue connecting to my Samsung sound bar; however, I had no issues connecting with my Bose soundbar or JBL Bluetooth speaker. Take from that what you want, I am not sure what to make of it, very bizarre. The speaker it has built-in 100% works if it's all you have. However, an external sound system will definitely give you better sound. If you are in the market for a projector, this needs to be at the top of your list. It checks off all the boxes needed for a great viewing experience.

Impressive image
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow! Having a digital media player built into a projector is a dream come true! I love being able to setup the projector and all I need is power. It can connect to my soundbar via Bluetooth and the media runs on WiFi. If I want to play a Bluray or some other media not supported by wireless, I can popoff the magnetic rear cover to reveal an HDMI port and an analog audio output. The image coming out of this projector is really impressive. It is bright, crisp, clear, and motion flows naturally. Whether you want to project onto a screen or a white wall, it still looks great! Adjusting the screen angle, focus, and keystone are extremely easy. They really added a lot of easy adjustments compared to projectors of the past. And also unlike projectors of the past, this thing is quiet. I think the manual said the fan is 36 db. Unless the room is absolutely silent, I do not hear the fan. When it came to initial setup, I plugged in the power cord and hit the power button. The projector turned on and showed me how to pair the remote by pressing two buttons together. The remote paired. I entered in my WiFi info and then signed into one of my streaming accounts. The entire process took less than five minutes. Since I care a lot about audio, I definitely recommend something better than the built-in speaker. But, I cannot imagine someone spending this much on a projector unless they already have some type of good surround sound system.

Didn’t even last a year
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was great while it worked. I bought in December 2020 and today (Nov. 13, 2021) it died. Less than a year of ownership before it stopped recognizing the hdmi signal, good thing it’s still under warranty.

Decent price but very disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for 799 with price cut. Video display acceptable as long as you don't compare it with Oled tv, it really looks 1080p video which I paid for . I had my Denon avr 4500 with Martin logan speaker and Svs subwoofers. when I pair them together The projector sees the Denon but connection failure, reset Denon and Epson bluetooth a lot of times to no avail. Now I'm thinking of a long wired connection that needs drilling and messy, or a bluetooth adaptor. I have a big screen but a 5w audio from Epson projector its not funny . i updated software for both Denon and Epson. I never had a issue with bluetooth connection on my Denon

Great 1080p projector
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This 1080p projector offers fantastic value and is impressively bright! We've been using it for 3 years, enjoying countless movies and gaming sessions. We especially love its brightness. Prior to the purchase, I extensively researched it, and its technical specifications exceed those of its predecessor, the Epson Home Cinema 2150. Both projectors are of excellent quality. The only minor drawback we've noticed is that it tends to run a bit hot. Additionally, the back cover can't be closed when you have cables connected to it.
