Absolutely love this projector! The Epson Cinema 2250 is limited on inputs, but it’s a smart projector that’s bright, snappy, and runs on Android TV and Kodi which makes streaming a breeze. Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, all the major TV channel apps, a bunch of free TV and movie apps, built-in Chromecast, this projector has all my streaming needs covered with a clean and easy to use interface. It also has bluetooth connectivity that easily connects to bluetooth speakers and other peripherals which makes setup a breeze if you’re moving it around. We did an outdoor movie night on the backyard patio and the only cable we needed was for power. Setup and breakdown was so quick and easy, it actually makes regular and impromptu outdoor movie nights a practical event. As long as you have a good wifi signal, set up is basically: put up the screen, turn on the speaker and projector, tune the picture and you’re good to go! The picture quality is good, the colors are great, and it’s bright enough to use in a moderately lit room so you won’t have to turn all the lights off. I do notice a bit of a convergence issue if I’m looking at a picture test pattern, but it’s not noticeable watching video, especially from a proper distance. I think outside of the features, what makes this projector so likable is how everything seemingly works like it’s supposed to. The interface is snappy. HDMI input audio automatically gets forwarded to the bluetooth speaker. A usable built-in speaker. The genuine Epson replacement bulbs are even super affordable! If you’re looking for a high quality entry level streaming projector, I highly, highly recommend the Epson Cinema 2250. PICTURE I know 4K is the rage right now, but there’s more to picture quality than resolution and the 2250 puts out bright and excellent 1080P at huge sizes. I’m mainly using it indoors on a 92” white drop down screen and outdoors on a stretched 120” white screen. The projector is bright enough that ambient light is not an issue, and it seems to do well with motion playing PS4 and streaming football. It’s brighter than my older Epson 8350 and motion seems smoother with no apparent judder. Setup is really flexible as both rear feet and front riser can be incrementally adjusted, a slider controls horizontal keystone, and vertical keystoning is automatic. It also has vertical lens shifting which lets you lift and lower the image a good range. You can also adjust the convergence panel for fine tuning, but I’ve haven’t been able to get it all to line up perfectly. I did have the lens shifted vertically pretty far when I tried it so that could be the culprit. The picture is great without adjusting the convergence so I left the adjustment off. If there’s any tips I can give, it’s that you’ll get much more life out of your bulb if you switch the settings to ECO and high altitude mode. It’ll be slightly dimmer on ECO mode, but it's still bright and supposedly extends the life from 6,000 hours to 10,000 hours. However at currently only $60 for a genuine Epson replacement lamp, it might not be a big deal. That’s cheaper than the knock off eBay bulbs for my older projector. STREAMING The Cinema 2250 runs on Android TV which has all of the major video apps and a pretty clean user interface. The system is pretty flexible as well, so you can install a side loader and custom apps if you’re inclined. Might even be able to run PS4 remote play if you’re savvy. And Kodi, if you know what Kodi can do, it’s awesome having it on a projector without needing a box. Picture quality wise, as long as you have a good wifi signal, it looks great and HD streams catch up very quickly. The built-in Chromecast is smooth as well and even works with the start/pause of the remote. I don’t know what processor or how much RAM it has, but I do know it has a 4GB hard drive and navigating the menus is pretty snappy overall. It’s been an absolute joy streaming movies and sports on this projector and I think the Android TV operating system might be my favorite.

This was a replacement for my older Sony VPL-HW40es projector. First impression is very good. I spent 10 minutes setting it up and after a few tweaks to the color and brightness it is a huge improvement over my old projector. So far I am very happy for a sub $1000 projector.

This is an incredible 1080 projector. Would be nicer with an optical out. If you are going to use a Bluetooth speaker setup make sure they are both using the same Bluetooth format. My onkyo receiver has an awe full delay that sync can not even correct but my portable speaker syncs perfectly.

Great projector! The speaker is surprisingly pretty loud for a projector. The projection quality is great (definitely 1080p quality). Lastly I really enjoy all of the downloadable content/apps. This projector is essentially having a Smart TV that you can adjust in size.

Works great. Was recommended to me by a friend and is great for backyard movie night. Bought 10’ screen but quickly understood go big or go home and bought a 20’ blow up due to the distance it could be away from the screen.

Great projector and the brightest I have ever seen. Also smooth motion makes this thing look 4k but has non of the blurry issues I had with my epson 4k model 3200. Save the cash get this one.

No complaints about this project. Bright. Clear. Easy to use. Silent (not noiseless, but silent compared to others). Would have given 5 stars if not for bulb and warranty. The one complaint that I have is that even though the project or has a 2 year warranty, the bulb is only warrantied for 90 days. RIDICULOUS. And yes mine failed after only a year of low to mild usage. Epson support didnt care nor take into account the few hours of service. As long as you're prepared to spend $60-$100 to replace the bulb regardless of usage within a year, beware.

Solid projector, good black depths. The bulb is already dim pretty early on in its lifetime (2500 hrs) so expect to have to get replacement lamps.
