This is very easy to set up with a USB cable and an install disc. I went online and got the latest install files from Epson. This does not need one of those annoying power bricks, it takes power from the USB port. The scans are good although this is not the fastest scanner. That said, it is well worth the asking price.

I needed a portable scanner to take to my mom's house to scan old family photos. This is thin - fits in my laptop bag and sits by my laptop on a card table. I am able to place six photos on the scanner at once, and as long as they are not touching, it automatically separates them for me. It provides multiple scan settings and the quality of the scan is very good. It is hard to find truly portable flat scanner - this one is great!

Was ding a big project. Needed a scanner. This one did a good job. Able to place multiple pictures on scanner bed and have them scanned separately. Great time saver

I purchased this scanner for my office. This scanner work for documents, but is not that great scanning pictures. I like the compact design of the scanner and the fact that it has a removable lid. This comes handy when scanning books. I will admit, I have only scanned light weight boks. It takes a little bit of time to get used to the software that it comes with the product, so be patient. Overall a good scanner for documents!

It does what you would expect: it scans. I bought it because I wanted a flatbed scanner and I got a flatbed scanner.

I needed this in a hurry and received it in a hurry from Best Buy!! VERY, VERY easy to use and FAST. I have a printer that scans but this is my 'go to' because of the speed at which it delivers, a must have for a home office.

I have been using this Epson scanner regularly since my purchase. It has been very useful in scanning all of my old photos from the predigital era. The only challenge I have had is that the software for the scanner sometimes locks up and you have to close the program and restart.

I purchased this scanner so I could scan numerous boxes of old photos. It isn't the speediest scanner but it works great! I especially like the feature that restores color to old pictures. I have used it on several old color pictures that were faded and the results are pictures that look almost as they did when originally taken. I highly recommend this scanner. It is light weight and easily portable. Setup was a piece of cake!

I bought this scanner at the beginning of the quarantine so that I could scan groups of old photos. I am now about half way through the process and have already scanned hundreds of photos. This scanner has been effective for this job. It was definitely a good value. If it would stop working, I would probably go ahead and buy another one to finish the job! One complaint is that there were NO directions with this product. Eventually I figured out that I had to download the driver online. Until that I could not even turn it on. So if you are expecting clear instructions or even ANY instructions, then this is not the item for you.

I was looking for a scanner just for old pictures. This one is perfect. The resolution allows me to build scrapbooks on line without Low Photo Resolution showing up.

I needed to send some pictures for a scrapbook. This scanner is simple, but it made sending the pictures via email easy. I'm sure there are more sophisticated options, but this was affordable and easy to use.

I was needing to scan many family photos and documents. This scanner is fast and can scan more than one photo at a time. I have scanned up to 6 photos into separate files at one time. That is so amazing. The setup was easy. There have been a time or 2 that I have had to restart it because it quit working correctly but then it started working as expected.

Does a good job of scanning. The bigger issue is the software which is outdated and not great - but that's with most scanners.

No complaints about the image scanning quality, but the scanning time is slow, at least for me it is. Using either the photo button (2nd from the left) or the Auto button (the blue one at the end) takes 3+ mins per picture on my 2010 Toshiba laptop. YMMV on a newer computer. All in all for the price I would buy again.

Does what you expect. Have had no issues so far my scanner. Happy with my purchase.

We purchased this scanner to digitize old photos to create a photo book. It's very easy to use, and the resulting scans are high quality. My only struggles occurred when I needed to scan photos that were attached to a page, as I sometimes had to try several times to get the photo aligned right, but I liked being able to crop or rotate the photo before saving the result.

I did not have any problems with this scanner. My new laptop however, does not have an optical drive for the installation disc.

Good, light weight, light duty scanner. I particularly appreciate the OCR capability, and that it gets power through the USB connection.
