As long as you left space In between the photos you can scan multiple pictures at the same time as individual pictures.

Can scan several pictures at once and scanner recognizes them as separate photos IF you leave adequate spacing.

There is no on/off switch, the unit must be plugged in to a USB port in order to use it. Must press a button on the front of the unit to begin the scan. Not very user friendly.
