The clarity is great. When scanning a picture the outcome is outstanding. I only wish I had seen it earlier. The upload allows you to copy several documents or photos to a particular file, thus eliminating the need for multiple files.

It does not transfer the scans to a desired folder in my computer as efficiently as the Epson FF-680 which I also have. However, the quality of the scans is very good. The price is right for a flat top scanner.

Finally they had some in stock, but when it arrived it was defective. Maybe Canon just released some previously returned scanners, who knows but it was very frustrating. Decided to go for the Epson scanner which they had in stock at Best Buy and it works great with either it's own software or my preferred choice for software, Vuescan.

It has many different ways in which to scan different pictures. It does stop randomly when you scan to many pictures. I had to restart the program over and over again to continue scanning. This is the only default that I thought was wrong with the scanner.
