||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved my perfection V33, but alas, after many years of use, the scanner bulb burned out. What I loved about the V33 over the V39 is it was powered (could use the USB Hub to connect) and it was quiet! The V39 has many shortfalls having to do with the the connection. It was not long enough to place in my drawer so I had to purchase a separate, longer cord costing my time and money. I have a Mac, and the Epson Scan software has still not been updated for 64-bit (intel)! It is unfortunate that there are no longer good quality flat bed scanners that are affordable. You get better scanners on the all-in-one products! I prefer a laser printer so I don't want an all-in-one and want a flat bed to slip into my unused top drawer for easy access when needed that does not interfere with my desk space! Short cord not withstanding, I would not recommend this product due to the noise factor.

The claim that OCR software is included in the bundle coming with the scanner is only true for Windows users. So Mac users will need to purchase separate OCR software. The connection between the four buttons on the front of the machine and the way it functions isn't very clear. Will definitely need to consult the online manual.

They are a waste as it seems the printer always clogs up unless used almost daily. (Sorry, Epson and HP!) So, I opted for this. It’s sleek, space saving and gives you lots of scanning adjustments — and does a beautiful scan. For printing, I go to Staples.

I had trouble picking it up from Best Buy. I won't purchase for pickup from Best Buy after my bad experience. I'll either have purchases delivered to my home or shop some other electronics provider.

I had bought phones in the past at BB, and it had been at least a 2 hour process which I was dreading. I entered and one young fellow passed me to an ATT expert. He proceeded to give me all possible options. I decided on an upgrade rather than a repair. The entire process took about one hour. Fabulous service.

It scans okay but doesn't have any photo editing software to improve photos and it is a photo scanner. This should cost about $50-$60 for the quality and rinky-dinkyness.
