Scanner is good for portable scanning needs for genealogy purpose for which it was purchased. It works well for my purposes in traveling to courthouses, historical societies, etc to scan documents for genealogical research.l

Great inexpensive scanner. I had a little difficulty getting it installed on my computer but found directions online that were more specific then what was included with scanner. Those directions made it easy to install. Every once in a while it stops scanning but I just have to close it and re-open it and everything works fine again. I am in the process of scanning thousands of family photographs and it is doing the job well. Good value for the price.

I needed to scan a bunch of family photos and this scanner did a great job. Took us about 1 hour to scan about 90 photos. I would recommend this product especially being the cost was below 90.00. Great buy!!!

We need this for the office. The scanner does exactly as stated. Slim and sleek. We use this to scan documents to be email to our clients or for inhouse. One button does it all. We didn't want the all-in-one machine because didn't have much room for anything else on the desk.

Very easy to set up and it does basic scanning very nicely and easily. Software is quite simple to follow. It does not allow for much customized work, however.

It was very easy to set up. I like that it doesn't require a power cable to use. It gets power from the USB. I have used it with both my Mac Mini and MacBook Pro. It is very simple and portable. Just what I was looking for.

Very simple to setup (only requires a USB cable to operate) and runs flawlessly with Win 10. Good purchase, if you're looking for a basic scanner that requires no separate power adapter.

I really like the scanner. Had a few issues and uninstalled software and reinstalled to fix a few problems with scanning. I find that the connection with supplied USB plug to back of scanner is very touchy and you get warning on computer screen (Scanner not found or connected.) You check to be sure it's in proper and tight and it works. The control buttons on front of scanner only work with them scanning to PDF. I can live with that. I am happy so far that it scans what I want, when I need to scan papers. I won't use as much as others do but for the money, it will serve my purpose.

Looks like this machine is hit or miss. Had trouble installing the software and had to re-install the software the next use. The USB power is very flimsy and the unit has trouble powering on. I can not recommend this product. Actually, I do not understand how it received so many 5 star reviews.

Although the specs on the box indicate this as a scanner capable of 48-bit depth input, it is only capable of 24-bit. You may not notice this if you are simply scanning photos for home use, in which case this scanner will probably work for you. But if you are buying a scanner in order to scan fine art to send to your print guy (like I did), this is a big problem unless your work is all black and white, because 24-bit color scanners are not capable of picking up some of the deeper color tones. I realized this was not really a 48-bit scanner when there was no option in the pull-down menu to scan in 48-bit mode. The Epson technician I talked to over the phone told me himself that, although it says it's capable of 48-bit, it really only offers 24-bit, and that the scanner I want is another model -Epson Perfection v600- which costs about 209.00. So buyer beware. If you want 48-bit, this is not the one.

Decent product, but very vague instructions for set up. Also not user-friendly in my opinion. However, if you are looking for a decent photo scanner at a great price, this is fine.

it was great to use but have little hard time to make it work at the begging. the images are great and still try to find out how to send the scan doc to emails. i like it so far.
