Epson Scanner Review
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The instructions for scanning are lacking so there is a learning curve. Took a while to figure out there are 2 different programs that you can use.

Better than expected
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've never used a scanner made specifically for scanning photos or media, usually just the one attached to the printer, so I was surprised to the amount of detail it captures. I would definitely recommend it for anyone in graphic design or just scanning family photos.

Good for document scanning
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the scanner for documents and it works really well, the text reads very clear The only issue is that you have to go 1 by 1 but once you get a hold of it you can scan a small document relatively quickly

Versatile
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the Epson V39 Flatbed Scanner II to see if a standalone scanner would prove useful in our household. After considerable use, this scanner did find a niche spot in our lives. The scanner offers versatility for scanning various items. The Epson V39 II flatbed scanner, like its predecessor, is small and compact. I would envision its purpose being geared toward the home or home office. Out of the box, the unit is sleek and lightweight, making it a perfect desk side companion. The scanner connects to the computer via a USB 2.0, I would have preferred to see a USB-C cable though. The setup is adequately quick, our personal home computers all use Windows 11, and it was really plug and play after a couple of check the box downloads. The scanner offers a maximum scanning resolution of 4800 dpi. My experience is that the resolution of the scanner is good but is less than great once you start to zone in on the image. The printer offers a myriad of modern day useful tools through the Epson ScanSmart software. We pulled out our high school and college day pictures from the nineties and early two-thousands and really appreciated the color restore feature. The scanner shined for my daughter, who is a pseudo digital artist, by allowing her to scan in photos & text pages from her manga book collection to work into her artistry. By using the OCR software and importing editable editions to several notable applications. The scanner's lack of a feeder as a standalone flatbed scanner is a bit annoying at times but not a deal breaker. Scanning speed and overall quality of resolution varied by the scan as dictated by the media being scanned and the scanning mode selected. The scanning process can be super-fast for uncomplicated text documents but is not overtly fast with higher resolution scans, nor is it slow though. I did find the kickstand more of a gimmick novelty and did not use it but when my wife was editing old photos, she was using it and said it made getting the pictures on and off easier for her. I rated the scanner five stars because the scanner does exactly what it advertises it will do. It is a multipurpose peripheral that is compact and convenient. The unit offers great resources through the Epson software and could be a friendly addition to any working space.

Share Those Old Photos With The World
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This scanner is compact and lightweight with an optical resolution of 4800 dpi and can scan photos and documents very quickly. It comes with a micro USB to USB-A cable to connect to your computer and a setup guide. On the back of the scanner is a little kickstand so that it will sit upright. Setup is simple. You will need to download software for any computer you are going to use this on, plug it in and follow the instructions. The software you download from the Epson website has Epson Easy Photo Fix, which helps bring more color to your photos if they are a bit faded, removes red eye and even removes dust and scratches from your old photos. There are four buttons to make things simpler where you can just press to scan, copy, and share your scans. When saving photos, you have the option to save to your computer or cloud storage. Your digital images can be saved in a number of formats like JPEG, PDF and Bitmap to name a few. I like that you can put a few photos onto the screen and once it has scanned the photos, they will be cropped into individual pictures, saving you time if you have a lot of photos like my daughter does. Since this scans at a 4800 dpi resolution, you are able to capture more details in the things you scan. This is a document/photo scanner all in one. I plan to use it for both documents and the photo scanning. It will be so much nicer to have all my paper files disappear. There will be little need for most of them, since I will have everything recorded in my computer files. My daughter loves photography and the scan is excellent for making the sizes vary and putting them in frames for her to display. The scan really does her photography justice because of the Easy Photo Fix. I highly recommend this scanner for its ease of use, speed in which it scans and the software especially for fixing older photos.
