My family has used Epson products for years, personally and for a home business. They have always worked well for us. This scanner replaces an Epson stand alone scanner that is more than 10 years old that is still working, but out of date. It was time to update to the newer technology and quality. So far, we have not been disappointed with this new scanner.

I needed a scanner to scan old photos and this one worked perfectly.

This scanners works very well and is pretty easy to figure out the way to do each function. I had many ski and other family pictures from years ago that had yellowed where they were not recognizable but I have them like new with the scan of the negatives so I can share them with friends and family! My Epson printer produces great pictures for those I want to print.

My wife is great at making personalized DVD videos for family and friends, but was in need of a new, updated photo scanner. Best Buy is the only store in town that I would even consider looking for this, and they had just the right item, and it was on sale. The in-store help was great too!

I bought this scanner to scan hundreds of color slides taken by my father and grandfather over an 75-year period. Loading the scanner tray is a bit slow and cumbersome, but the software allows for adjustments to color, exposure, etc. and even can correct for flaws in the slide. I researched various products before I purchased this scanner, and I think it's the best at its price point.

It scans at a really good quality however very slow and requires you to continually prod it to complete the scan after it is started. So what I mean by that is, once you start the scan you have to again click on the application window for it to actually start. Then later you have to do it multiple more times for it to finish.

This scanner does a good job of scanning old photos!
