Easy set up, fast scanner!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From box to operation, this scanner sets up quickly with an on-line download of software and a simple cable connection. It's fast, just a touch of the icon on the screen and scanning starts. So far, all the documents I've scanned are clear. Will try photos next.

Great for scanning photos
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to set up and install. Works great on Win10. I was able to scan an old faded picture and let it auto adjust and it was such a dramatic improvement without losing the quality of the image.

Excellent Scanner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for an affordable scanner to scan hundreds of pictures my mom kept over the years. She recently passed and my brother and sister want copies of many treasured pictures and I knew it would be expensive to get them all scanned and cleaned up. Saw the scanner the shop I took a picture we had of my mother blown up fro her services was an Epson 800. I read reviews and the 600 was affordable and so I took a chance. So happy with it! I started working on the project of scanning and cleaning up our family pictures and it I am very happy. Scans pictures nicely and the ICE technology does an amazing job. Glad I will be able to scan, print and electronically store our family memories.

This is the real deal for slides!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This scanner works great for 35mm and 10mm slides. That's the primary reason I purchased it. I've seen other solutions that didn't really look like they would work. This works great! Granted you can only scan 4 slides at a time but it's fairly effortless. At 300 dpi it takes under 3 minutes to scan and correct the slide images. At 600 dpi it takes a little bit longer. The ICE feature for color, dust, and scratch removal does a fairly good job. Color correction is excellent! If you want to convert your old slides this is a must-have!

Good high quality scanner, works with Windows 10
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best thing about this scanner is that it works with Windows 10s latest upgrade. My ten-year-old V100 just quit. Same scanner program so no learning curve. Its light is an LED so that is good. I can scan 2 negative strips instead of just one, and that is helpful as well. It has a great number of options when scanning slides and film, dust removal, color restoration, adjusting saturation, resolution, and lighting. I still put most of my scans through some post-production so to speak but there is less to do. I am pleased with the scanner.

Easy to use and scans old photos very well.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read other reviews of this scanner, and all of the positive comments have been true for me. I was able to use the Epson software and start scanning old family photos right away. I think this is a perfect, user friendly tool that does exactly what I need. I haven't tried the Photoshop software that was included yet but will try it later.

great scans of black and white negatives
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm very happy -- needed digital scans of ancient black and white negatives, containing images of historical manuscript documents. The scans are gorgeous, and the software works for me (with Windows 10). The manual, which I downloaded from the Epson site, could be more helpful -- for instance, not just "use this menu to choose size" but "here are guidelines for making that choice." Fortunately, the default settings seem to be OK for my purposes (study on computer screen and posting to Web).

Easy to use!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Plug and play scanner that is super quick with documents and relatively quick with trading cards (what I use it for). Either way, the quality is great and it’s super easy to use. Great scanner!

Great scanner.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this scanner to copy our old family photos into digital for the whole family. It does a great job and the quality of the scans are awesome. I like the fact that you can do so much with the provided software. It has brought back color and life to an old and almost dead photo. And i love the negative adapter for scanning negatives. I just wish it came with all the negative scanning adapters for what you pay for this unit. All in all, this is a great unit and worth the money.

Does what I need and does it well
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ease of use and quality of scans are very good. I'm pleased with the unit. I could wish for more flexibility in handling scans of film negatives, but this covers most of the bases for me.

OK but not great
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We're happy with the quality and versatility of the scanner. However, the ease of use an user friendliness is lacking. Moreover, compatibility is an issue. Luckily the edit software was free.

Excellent repairing of old pics
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent product. It has done what I needed it to do with about 6000 pictures of my ancestors- it literally helped me to bring them back in photo form. I had tattered old pics from 1919 and the scanner was able to bring them back to near perfect - showing things in the picture that were naked to the original- and I had much better clarity to the faces that were my relatives - that I could see how my facial lines matched theirs! And it was transforming to see myself in the past and who I was the future of!

Great workhorse slide scanner
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent scanner for slides and film. Capacity is four slides at a time. If scanning at 300dpi medium speed, at 1200 dpi slower. Customizable settings, works w my pc Windows 7 and my Apple MacBook Pro. I love this scanner, but wish it could scan more than four slides at a time. It’s an 11”x17” screen which is not being utilized. Just a row of approx 2”x8” scanning surface. Otherwise, it’s steady and customizable. I have scanned 1000+ slides so far w good image results. Definitely recommend. Good user interface.

Digitizing 35mm slides with the V600
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first I had difficulty getting the Epson printer driver to work with my Mac (using Catalina OS) to scan 35mm slides, but eventually it worked out, and I found the interface easy to use; easier than the previous model of this scanner (V500). The scanner does a fine job of scanning and is very similar to the V500 in its operation. Scanning 35mm slides at home saves a lot lot money over sending them out, and the added benefit is being able to edit them yourself. I immediately opened each one in Adobe Elements to improve image quality, get rid of dust, etc. I’m very happy to be able to digitize these images.
