King of scanners
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price you pay, you get a really high quality scanner. I am using it to scan my negatives, and boy does it ever get sharp detail. Great photo scanner, only down side is the scanning speed, which is SLOW. Especially at higher DPI. Be careful cleaning the bottom because it is very sensitive and picks up dust and scratches easily. It is also very easy at picking up static electricity.

V600 gets my vote!!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am extremely happy with my purchase. I used it to scan old pictures for my 35th high school reunion to be used in a slideshow. The scans turned out great and therefore our slideshow did too. It took a little to figure it out but I quickly caught on and was able to scan multiple at a time which was great. My next project is to scan our family photos ... I can't wait!!

Good Epson scanner for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This scanner is easy to use. The slide and negative trays insert easily. It has a typical noise level for a scanner. Downloaded driver and program files from the Epson website were accurate. I encountered no issues with windows 10. Files can only be saved in JPEG format and not in RAW format. The installation directions are not detailed enough.

Quality Scans
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this scanner to digitalize personal photographs. It produces sharp scans with true to life colors using the Epson Scan App Professional Mode. It is USB 2.0 based so somewhat on the slow side. I returned the scanner and purchased the V850 since it will scan more 35 mm frames at once when I get to that point. The V850 is also slightly faster but still USB 2.0.

Saving a bit of history
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have thousands of printed photo. I wanted a scanner to save some of the best of them digitally so I could create a few photo books. I have a MacBook Pro. I am not a tech guru. I found the Epson scanner very easy to set up and use. I loved that I was able to scan multiple photos at once. When I had a question, the Epson tech support person was very responsive. I’m very happy with this product.

Perfection is a great name for this scanner!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did a fantastic job!!! I was needing to put together a slide show for my father's 100th birthday. I had bunches of photos and a TON of old slides to go through and scan the ones chosen onto my computer to put together the slide show. This scanner made the process very fast and easy. Really loved the result!

Cover to film holder breaks easily
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Scans well, the film scanning was real good. But the cover to the film strip holder is thin and delicate, which broke in a few months of scanning film. That is NOT covered under warranty with Epson! You have to buy it again from another party. I doubt the replacement will last any longer. So if you want to scan a lot of film strips, beware!

Great overall, Mac users be patient with it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does exactly what I want it to do, haven’t had any issues yet. But of note if you have a Mac it doesn’t process into the scanner application as smooth as you would think. Sometimes had to click in and out, but maybe that’s might fault, if so then could use some better Mac vs windows installation guidance. Use it exclusively for 35mm scans right now and they come out crispy *Italian hand with fingers together emoji*

Happy with my Purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first photo scanner and so far I have used only it's most basic function; photo print scanning. It has been easy to use and works well. The only problem I have is that sometimes when I put multiple prints on the scanner surface it does not scan them all separately so I have to remove prints to get separate scans. I am not sure if there is an easy solution to this. But I am happy with my purchase.

Good scanner for docs and negatives
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The scanner is easy to setup. The app (in windows) has a quirk, where It gives a crash like error if the scanner is not powered on and connected when you try to activate it. Otherwise, tried scanning documents and photo negatives, and got decent results. The auto dust removal worked pretty well.

Great Product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am reviewing the Epson V600 Photo Scanner. I've been using it for a little over a month. I've scanned about 150 color photographs and over 100 documents. I have no complaints. It works as expected. With this particular scanner, you can place two 5 x 7 photographs on the glass plate at a time. The built-in software will give you two separate photo files and will self-adjust the photos for alignment if they are not placed on the glass platen exactly straight. This feature is a real time saver. I got through my photo project. Now, I continue to use the scanner as a document scanner because it's a little quicker than my all-in-one printers can scan and it gives me a good quality scan. The "ICE" digital software, built into the unit, automatically performs some color correction to each photo and does that fairly well ─ good enough for me. I could probably touch things up a little better on PhotoShop; but, for my purposes, I really appreciate the ICE software which helps clean things up a bit. For family photos, the ICE software works very well to clean up old photos where the color is faded. But, if you need to use the photos for a business advertisement, where they've got to be spot-on best, consider the ICE a first-line clean up; then, do a second sweep on PhotoShop. But, for my purposes, I am happy with the way the scanner's software works to automatically clean up my old photos.
