Cover to film holder breaks easily
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Scans well, the film scanning was real good. But the cover to the film strip holder is thin and delicate, which broke in a few months of scanning film. That is NOT covered under warranty with Epson! You have to buy it again from another party. I doubt the replacement will last any longer. So if you want to scan a lot of film strips, beware!

Good scanner for docs and negatives
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The scanner is easy to setup. The app (in windows) has a quirk, where It gives a crash like error if the scanner is not powered on and connected when you try to activate it. Otherwise, tried scanning documents and photo negatives, and got decent results. The auto dust removal worked pretty well.

Happy with my Purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first photo scanner and so far I have used only it's most basic function; photo print scanning. It has been easy to use and works well. The only problem I have is that sometimes when I put multiple prints on the scanner surface it does not scan them all separately so I have to remove prints to get separate scans. I am not sure if there is an easy solution to this. But I am happy with my purchase.

Great overall, Mac users be patient with it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does exactly what I want it to do, haven’t had any issues yet. But of note if you have a Mac it doesn’t process into the scanner application as smooth as you would think. Sometimes had to click in and out, but maybe that’s might fault, if so then could use some better Mac vs windows installation guidance. Use it exclusively for 35mm scans right now and they come out crispy *Italian hand with fingers together emoji*

Epson v600 scanner
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First one teti bevayof errors and in the end added corrupted files to the computer. Second one took advanced support to help install the software and have the scanner respond. Store employees knew nothing about this product.

Great Product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am reviewing the Epson V600 Photo Scanner. I've been using it for a little over a month. I've scanned about 150 color photographs and over 100 documents. I have no complaints. It works as expected. With this particular scanner, you can place two 5 x 7 photographs on the glass plate at a time. The built-in software will give you two separate photo files and will self-adjust the photos for alignment if they are not placed on the glass platen exactly straight. This feature is a real time saver. I got through my photo project. Now, I continue to use the scanner as a document scanner because it's a little quicker than my all-in-one printers can scan and it gives me a good quality scan. The "ICE" digital software, built into the unit, automatically performs some color correction to each photo and does that fairly well ─ good enough for me. I could probably touch things up a little better on PhotoShop; but, for my purposes, I really appreciate the ICE software which helps clean things up a bit. For family photos, the ICE software works very well to clean up old photos where the color is faded. But, if you need to use the photos for a business advertisement, where they've got to be spot-on best, consider the ICE a first-line clean up; then, do a second sweep on PhotoShop. But, for my purposes, I am happy with the way the scanner's software works to automatically clean up my old photos.

Solid Purchase
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I relied on my V500 model for over 8 years. I ran it until it finally gave out and one downside is that fixing it was more complicated and expensive that it made more sense to invest in an upgrade to the V600. So far it’s working like dream, digitizing my sizable photo archives. It’s a solid purchase and worth the price.

Still problems with Windows 11
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a V500 because it didn't work well with Windows 11. V600 is an excellent quality scanner but is sometimes not recognized by W11. I often use the slide scanner so W11 generic drivers are no solution. I was expecting easy compatibility.

High quality scanner for high quality work.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.High quality scanner for high quality work. It can take awhile to complete a scan if you are scanning at a higher DPI, but the results are always fantastic.

Satisfied repeat buyer of an EPSON photo scanner
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second EPSON photo scanner I've owned. I had purchased my first one, a Perfection V500 model, about 10 years ago and the inside of the scanning glass started to show a hazy finish that I could not clean since it was inside the unit and not on the glass scanning surface. The V500 was my first introduction to the upgraded scanning experience that EPSON photo scanners offer over the crappy/mediocre scanning experience that I had with multi-function printers/scanners. So when it came time for me to look for a replacement, there was no doubt it my mind that I'd get EPSON's latest version of the V500 which for me turned out to be the V600. Offhand, I don't know that there's a significant difference in functionality between my old V500 and new V600 as they both use the same EPSON program interface. The V600 may have some new whistles and bells (vs. the V500) but I don't use them in my scanning needs so I can't really speak to their usefulness. I'm very happy with my EPSON Perfection V600 scanner and expect to be able to use it for several more years.

Fast, Clean scans
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this unit to scan family photos. Works great for up to 8x10. I have not tried the negative/slide scanner but will update review after scanning them. Four stars as the default Epson software is not very user friendly, confusing and does not have many options. Manual for use not useful. Ended up purchasing Adobe product for scanning.

Very useful product
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very pleased with this scanner! I have used it for photos and negatives. I was so excited to be able to scan negatives! I wish it cleaned up pictures better than it does. But, the fact that I can scan my photos, from before cell phones were a thing, onto my computer is quite awesome!!
