Great scanner for the money
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an easy to use and scanner that make high quality scans. I needed a scanner for old photos and slides and negatives and this does a good job. You can spend a lot more and you might get slightly bettering results but this is the best bang for you buck. Doesn’t scan super 8mm so I still need to find a good way to scan the old home movies.

New Epson scanner
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It functions a bit different than the Epson I used for the last 20 years. This one does not make quite as good of scans but are ok. You put a paper on the glass and it won't stay put. It goes sliding around and the image you scan will be crooked because the page you wanted to scan slid around on the glass. My old Epson never did that. You put something to scan on it and it stayed put and I don't know why?? So I had to put blocks of wood under the front of the scanner and a block of wood under the left side of the scanner so if a page you wanted to scan tried to go anywhere it couldn't because the scanner is slanted towards the right and towards the back so the page wants to go sliding it will stay up against the right and back of the scanner where you want it to stay. That works better than trying to tape things in place so they won't slide around on the scanner bed.

Slides, prints, negatives - no problem!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Slides, prints, and negatives all scanned beautifully. We needed a scanner in a hurry to put together a family reunion slide show. This scanner was not super fast, but it did the job. It will scan four slides at time, or one negative strip. It recognizes the film medium. Would recommend.

High quality scanner for high quality work.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.High quality scanner for high quality work. It can take awhile to complete a scan if you are scanning at a higher DPI, but the results are always fantastic.

Epson V600 full of important features
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is great that Best Buy offers the V600 photo scanner by Epson. The scanner is reasonably fast and can do all the film negative work you generally need (both B&W and color, in the range of negative sizes). I was originally looking for a competitor's brand, but not see one that was comparable in price and features, I tried the V600 and was not disappointed.

Did the job!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to be able to view lots of 35mm negatives without having to send them out for prints. The Epson V600 easily and quickly converted the negatives to positive digital images. It also digitizes 35mm slides. This scanner is worth the price!

One of the best scanners made better.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Epson continues to deliver a high quality scanner with deluxe features. Four slides trays and numerous negative scanning features. Happily, the operation is identical to their old scanners, so set up and operation is a snap if you are replacing an earlier version. The only drawback is that there isn't a place to stash the slide and negative tray inserts.

Decent speed, OK color and poor slide recognition
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Scanned images are not the quality of displaying the color slide on a screen with a slide projector. The color is more washed out even using the color correction feature. One of the main problems is the auto recognition has problems recognizing some 35mm slides. The slide image get cropped off and the recognition software picks up the black of the slide holder and includes that with the image. Would be a nice feature to have the option of selecting just a 35mm slide, so the the recognition software would be able to only scan the size of the slide. Noticed the problem is mostly with slides that do not have a lot of contrast across the image. Tried to customize with Home or Professional options, but unable to find something that worked. Overall for the price, the scanner does an OK job. Have only scanned slide negatives and the recognition software had problems with square image slides too (maybe 120 size?) No comment on scanning pictures or other media, since none were scanned. Purchased the scanner as it was one a friend owns and he said it did a decent job. I ordered a scanner online, but UPS trashed it during shipping, so returned it to the store and ordered another one and had it shipped to the store for pick up. That arrived with only some minor damage on the box.

Perfect
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No surprises. This product is exactly what I expected from reading others reviews. I have 1,000's of 35MM slides to scan and have completed more then 800 with no issues and beautiful images of our travels are now digital. Best investment ever.

Value, reliable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a quality scanner for the price. I had no problems when I left a small gap between photos and the edge of the glass to avoid losing edge of picture and spaced the photos out so that they scanned individually and not as a collage. It scanned quickly, just a few seconds per picture. I’ve scanned hundreds of pictures and many slides.

Works with Apple Mac Mini M1
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I bought this scanner, it wasn’t clear whether it would work with my Apple Mac Mini with M1 processor. I was relieved to find that it worked - my only complaints are that the scanner is only USB2 and the software seems quite dated. The dust and scratch removal feature isn’t particularly great, and some touch up in photoshop is still needed.

So far, so good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A few more unpacking instructions would have been useful. Other than that, the v600 scanner has worked perfectly. Downloaded the latest software from the Epson site. Setup was easy in Windows 10 and I scanned a document with the auto function no problem. Then scanned a slide just to check it out. Looked great.
