Customers are saying

Customers regard the Perfection V600 Photo Scanner as user-friendly and easy to set up, even for those who are not tech-savvy. They appreciate the high-quality scans and the scanner's ability to handle various media, including negatives, film slides, and old photos. Works with Apple Mac Mini M1

When I bought this scanner, it wasn’t clear whether it would work with my Apple Mac Mini with M1 processor. I was relieved to find that it worked - my only complaints are that the scanner is only USB2 and the software seems quite dated. The dust and scratch removal feature isn’t particularly great, and some touch up in photoshop is still needed.

A few more unpacking instructions would have been useful. Other than that, the v600 scanner has worked perfectly. Downloaded the latest software from the Epson site. Setup was easy in Windows 10 and I scanned a document with the auto function no problem. Then scanned a slide just to check it out. Looked great.

Its a wonderful scanner with decent quality but it takes such a long time for it to scan film. I haven't used it for scanning any documents so I can give any input there. I recommend buying a used one if you're looking for one.

Decent speed, OK color and poor slide recognition

Scanned images are not the quality of displaying the color slide on a screen with a slide projector. The color is more washed out even using the color correction feature. One of the main problems is the auto recognition has problems recognizing some 35mm slides. The slide image get cropped off and the recognition software picks up the black of the slide holder and includes that with the image. Would be a nice feature to have the option of selecting just a 35mm slide, so the the recognition software would be able to only scan the size of the slide. Noticed the problem is mostly with slides that do not have a lot of contrast across the image. Tried to customize with Home or Professional options, but unable to find something that worked. Overall for the price, the scanner does an OK job. Have only scanned slide negatives and the recognition software had problems with square image slides too (maybe 120 size?) No comment on scanning pictures or other media, since none were scanned. Purchased the scanner as it was one a friend owns and he said it did a decent job. I ordered a scanner online, but UPS trashed it during shipping, so returned it to the store and ordered another one and had it shipped to the store for pick up. That arrived with only some minor damage on the box.

    A good scanner for transparencies

I needed to scan a lot of old transparencies for a photo book. Some of the images were up to 50 years old. The ICE setting was a help and saved me some time. I turned the slide image in reverse so the duller side of the image is upwards. Easy to reverse it in the settings for scanning. All in all, a good intermediate level scanner at a good price.

Scanner software was easy to install and was up and running in 5 minutes. Picture quality is amazing. If you use the max pixel setting it does take about 12-15 seconds to scan, but I find it is completely worth it.

Excellent scanner. Able to scan multiple photos at one time. Purchased because our standard all-in-one printer/scanner did not do well with dark photos. This scanner has no issues with those.

This scanner definitely offers a wide variety of scanning techniques. It is ideal for someone looking to scan a small number of photos or to preserve old photos and make digital files from negatives. It does require some research to determine the proper settings for the scanner for the project you are completing.

I got this to scan artwork and it's pretty dope. Does a great job. The software is not bad at all for editing if you don't have photoshop. The biggest set back is figuring out the scan settings that work best for you. If you purchase, watch some videos of users to help guide you on settings itll save you time. Overall, super happy with it!

My printer does not have a scanner and I wanted to archive family photos. This scanner is fantastic! I have scanned in black and white and color photos, some 80 years old and small. With some editing i was able to enlarge enough to display on the wall now! I wasn’t able to get the multi-image to work yet so the process is slow.

I discovered I had too many photos to send out to digitize. This was an easy plug and play option. High quality. I did watch a You Tube video to learn how to use the software. I am totally in love with this.

This is a good flat bed scanner. I would recommend this if you are scanning pictures or high quality documents. If you are wanting to scan low quality documents quickly, there are other quicker scanners that would be a better purchase.

a replacement for my old epson v500. Very close to the same features and quality, but with a few added. I am using it to scan hundreds of old photos, negatives both large format and 35mm. Some of the different large (old) formats require some extra effort, but It works very well and I am pleased.

Excellent image quality with scanned images, large pixel count. I purchased this for my father to scan in a big collection of old slide photos, and he has really had a great time with it. The included software is very helpful, and the scanner allows for a high resolution scan to give you a nice image to work with.
