Customers are saying

Customers regard the Perfection V600 Photo Scanner as user-friendly and easy to set up, even for those who are not tech-savvy. They appreciate the high-quality scans and the scanner's ability to handle various media, including negatives, film slides, and old photos. However, some customers have concerns about the outdated software, compatibility issues, the scanner's large size, occasional defects, and the time-consuming scanning process.

This is a good flat bed scanner. I would recommend this if you are scanning pictures or high quality documents. If you are wanting to scan low quality documents quickly, there are other quicker scanners that would be a better purchase.

Produces great scans. Some cons are that the scanned document needs to go up to top of scanning board which makes it hard to place sometime especially if you have some papers on top of the scanner. Another issue seems to be the autocrop cuts a little off the sides at times. Finally, it does not autorotate documents to correct orientation.

Great for scanning pictures. A bit cumbersome using the frames for negatives and slides and so so how they come. A nice feature is that you can do 4 photos at a time and it automatically separates them. A popular model tried for two weeks and delivery was over a month out and all of a sudden Best Buy had them.

Excellent scanner. Able to scan multiple photos at one time. Purchased because our standard all-in-one printer/scanner did not do well with dark photos. This scanner has no issues with those.

I scanned hundreds of slides and pictures instead of sending them off and paying someone to do it. I am very please with the the results. You can scan at various levels of resolution, your choice.

I discovered I had too many photos to send out to digitize. This was an easy plug and play option. High quality. I did watch a You Tube video to learn how to use the software. I am totally in love with this.

We have lots of family photos we wanted to digitize. After reading lots of reviews, I picked the Epson V600. Software was easy to install and get running. Scans are better then I was hoping for. Software does a nice job on restoring old photos. Have not tried negatives or slides yet. So far, so good!

This unit works very well for my needs. I normally scan medium format film and 35mm. Although I mostly use a Nikon scanner for the majority of my work, the Epson comes in handy especially for 6x6 film. I have yet to learn all the facets of using this scanner to its maximum potential.

This is my second V600 scanner - I wore out the first one. The quality of the scans and output is unparalleled. I would highly recommend this scanner. I have been using it for a slide preservation project, and it does a beautiful job with the corrections. Aslo does great on photos and just documents.

I purchased this for the purpose of scanning film and it does its job with excellence. Took some time for me to install the right scanning app the website maneuvers you into downloading some unessecary applications, but once you have the default scanning application it will work wonders.

    Colors are way off

    Posted .

I returned the V39 for the V600. Problem still the same-- it can't translate the yellows/reds in my artwork. The photos were substantially sharper, but the color was off. I tweaked colors heavily. There is no good way to tone down yellow. I pre-set to lessen it, then changed even more with 'Edit Curve,'-- there are no directions. I finally sent my client a truer example using a camera!! Please see photos for differences-- I'm struggling to give this a chance because the market offers nothing competitive. Don't ask me to call the help line, they start with reading directions (I can hear the flipping of pages!) about how to uninstall/reinstall the product. The colors are so off I’m not comfortable listing my small watercolors on ebay and etsy. Photos: note the sharpness differnce in the black and white. Art: the horse is not lemon yellow, more a dun like the camera translated.

I read the reviews on this produce and they were great. I have to say that the scanner makes transferring all my old negatives a breeze. It comes with a CD for Microsoft computers but you have to download set up for Mac systems via the internet. Very professional quality.

I wanted a scanner to digitize color slides; the Epson V600 makes it easy to do 4 at a time, and the built-in editing software makes it easy to adjust light and color. Also, I'm scanning B&W photos: also easy because even the default setting do a great job on capturing the image in a short time.

Recently bought this Epson scanner. So far I have been converting old negatives from the 1980s and I am satisfied overall with the scanner. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because the Epson software is not that user friendly. The scanner itself delivers excellent images from negatives.

This scanner is really good. My parents were downsizing and I got this to archived a bunch of slides, negatives and photos. It’s a time-intensive process and the software included is great. The only warning I’d give is that if you want to use the software for scratch removing and others, the scans do take quite a bit longer. The results are great, but quite a bit slower than the 3-second version for quickly getting thru stuff, so you’ll have to decide on that (time vs quality). Also, some of the presets for photos might be lower resolution than you want… so double check results as I had to redo a few when I saw the resolution was lower than I preferred.

This is my 2nd Epson Scanner . It is a mid range priced high quality scanner for amateurs or pros. It is the quality I expect from EPSON A great $200 range scanner. Will scan up to 8x10 print resolution will determine how large you can make prints. I have made high quality 0 in X 40 in prints when scanned in a high resolution
