Great slide / film / print scanner
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This scanner does a GREAT job converting prints, slides, and color negatives to jpegs. It has built in optional color correction, which works very well when invoked on faded slides, prints, or negatives. I have to admit I haven’t tried a simple scan of a page of text to a pdf file, but I assume it would work well.

Best Film Scanner!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.By far the best negative / film scanner. I have no complaints. It works great and the picture quality is excellent! So easy to use and set-up. I have been scanning old 35 mm negatives, 8 at a time. It scans each one individually and uploads to your designated location. I would highly recommend this scanner.

Advanced scanner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.High resolution and back lighted lid for transparencies also allows almost microscopic scanning of a leaf and an insect wing. Just put the specimen between two clear transparent sheets. Software will give a warning about failure, but if you wait a minute, then it will scan. Select a small rectangle to save, not the whole platen.

Good scanner for all my documents.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous Epson scanner had to be replaced after only 15 years. It still worked but not with Windows10. Drivers not available from Epson. Others sell drivers for $60.00 plus. So I figured for a few dollars more, I would buy new scanner which already has drivers (software) to operate scanner. This scanner works as designed creating excellent copies of documents. I will provide more details in ten years.

Great scanner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great scanner. It takes quality scans from Pics, and Negatives. Software that comes with it is very useful. A bit slcow but can't complaint about the quality. Happy with my purchase.

Good scanner for old photos
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This V600 Epson scanner has done a good job scanning my old photos. The resolution is as good as the photos themselves as far as I can tell. The only problem is that it randomly gives me an error for which I turn on/off/on again and it clears it. That's not a deal breaker for me because the price is right. I'd buy again.

An Excellent Scanner
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent scanner for the price. Its technical specification allows scanning pictures and documents at the highest resolution. Also, its connection to my laptop was very easy and straightforward. My only take is that the user needs some time to discover the software's capabilities.

Best for photos
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great for scanning pictures. A bit cumbersome using the frames for negatives and slides and so so how they come. A nice feature is that you can do 4 photos at a time and it automatically separates them. A popular model tried for two weeks and delivery was over a month out and all of a sudden Best Buy had them.

Great results.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Produces great scans. Some cons are that the scanned document needs to go up to top of scanning board which makes it hard to place sometime especially if you have some papers on top of the scanner. Another issue seems to be the autocrop cuts a little off the sides at times. Finally, it does not autorotate documents to correct orientation.

Great scanner for my Medium format negatives
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm starting to photograph 120 film and this scanner is what I was looking for. The scans are detailed, sharp and huge for everything I need. 35mm scans still need to be fine tuned (I might just create some spacers for the negative film holder to help with focusing). Also Epson scanning software is good, but not great. I prefer Silver Fast to handle my scans.

Wait for the Microsoft Windows 11 fix to purchase.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While I am sure that the Epson Perfection V600 will eventually be compatible with Windows 11, currently you have to use a workaround to see the preview, scan and folder icons as they do not properly show up. It also seemed to me that some of the editing icons in professional mode were not working properly either. I am not willing to pay $300 for a new scanner and have to use work arounds until Epson/Microsoft work out the patch. Epson tech support confirmed that they are working to resolve the issue. I returned.

Colors are way off
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned the V39 for the V600. Problem still the same-- it can't translate the yellows/reds in my artwork. The photos were substantially sharper, but the color was off. I tweaked colors heavily. There is no good way to tone down yellow. I pre-set to lessen it, then changed even more with 'Edit Curve,'-- there are no directions. I finally sent my client a truer example using a camera!! Please see photos for differences-- I'm struggling to give this a chance because the market offers nothing competitive. Don't ask me to call the help line, they start with reading directions (I can hear the flipping of pages!) about how to uninstall/reinstall the product. The colors are so off I’m not comfortable listing my small watercolors on ebay and etsy. Photos: note the sharpness differnce in the black and white. Art: the horse is not lemon yellow, more a dun like the camera translated.
