Customers are saying

Customers regard the Perfection V600 Photo Scanner as user-friendly and easy to set up, even for those who are not tech-savvy. They appreciate the high-quality scans and the scanner's ability to handle various media, including negatives, film slides, and old photos. However, some customers have concerns about the outdated software, compatibility issues, the scanner's large size, occasional defects, and the time-consuming scanning process.

    Flexible and great results

This scanner is really good. My parents were downsizing and I got this to archived a bunch of slides, negatives and photos. It’s a time-intensive process and the software included is great. The only warning I’d give is that if you want to use the software for scratch removing and others, the scans do take quite a bit longer. The results are great, but quite a bit slower than the 3-second version for quickly getting thru stuff, so you’ll have to decide on that (time vs quality). Also, some of the presets for photos might be lower resolution than you want… so double check results as I had to redo a few when I saw the resolution was lower than I preferred.

While I am sure that the Epson Perfection V600 will eventually be compatible with Windows 11, currently you have to use a workaround to see the preview, scan and folder icons as they do not properly show up. It also seemed to me that some of the editing icons in professional mode were not working properly either. I am not willing to pay $300 for a new scanner and have to use work arounds until Epson/Microsoft work out the patch. Epson tech support confirmed that they are working to resolve the issue. I returned.

I wanted a scanner to digitize color slides; the Epson V600 makes it easy to do 4 at a time, and the built-in editing software makes it easy to adjust light and color. Also, I'm scanning B&W photos: also easy because even the default setting do a great job on capturing the image in a short time.

This is a high quality scanner. I've been trying to preserve old photos and it's doing its job. I've been able to enhance them. Very pleased with my purchase. It works with my iMac and was easy to set up.

Recently bought this Epson scanner. So far I have been converting old negatives from the 1980s and I am satisfied overall with the scanner. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because the Epson software is not that user friendly. The scanner itself delivers excellent images from negatives.

Its a wonderful scanner with decent quality but it takes such a long time for it to scan film. I haven't used it for scanning any documents so I can give any input there. I recommend buying a used one if you're looking for one.

I love this scanner. This is my second Perfection! My other one is still working but gave to a friend so she can scan her family photos and slides. It's very affordable for the power and control in making scans; slides and pictures look great!

Excellent scanner, restores old decolorized photos quick and easily, yielding amazing true colors as if the photos were taken yesterday. Scan negatives too into digital photos (time consuming)… For professional and much faster fix, try Epson Perfection V850 (over $1000)…

This is my 2nd Epson Scanner . It is a mid range priced high quality scanner for amateurs or pros. It is the quality I expect from EPSON A great $200 range scanner. Will scan up to 8x10 print resolution will determine how large you can make prints. I have made high quality 0 in X 40 in prints when scanned in a high resolution

Used the scanner for about 6-months. No issues so far. The quality of scans is good for both photos and negatives. I even tried scanning old black and white negatives, the scan quality was impressive. The scan speed is slow but ok for infrequent home use.

This is an excellent scanner for the price. Its technical specification allows scanning pictures and documents at the highest resolution. Also, its connection to my laptop was very easy and straightforward. My only take is that the user needs some time to discover the software's capabilities.

Best sale price out there. The negative holders are a bit flimsy and awkward to load, but, once in place, the scanner works great for both negs and prints. Pretty fast, with lots of settings and options. Well-made, and works well with all of my other Epson items. Wi-fi is missing...that would make it great!

Does great scanning multiple photos. I have already scanned a few thousand and still works fine. Easy to make corrections. The dust removal works to a point but best to blow off the table frequently.

This scanner is amazing! Can even fix old photos in the default software that comes with it. Also scans as many pics at once that will fit on the glass and can make them all separate files once scanned in with little to no effort!
