Customers regard the Perfection V600 Photo Scanner as user-friendly and easy to set up, even for those who are not tech-savvy. They appreciate the high-quality scans and the scanner's ability to handle various media, including negatives, film slides, and old photos. Haven’t tried all the features but works great for digitizing slides. The software takes some time to learn how to use. I’ve had to use YouTube videos to learn how to use the software.

When the library locked down, I was desperate to get a scanner to finish recording commissions. And it’s the same scanner as the library has! I love it.

This is an excellent scanner for the price. Its technical specification allows scanning pictures and documents at the highest resolution. Also, its connection to my laptop was very easy and straightforward. My only take is that the user needs some time to discover the software's capabilities.

This scanner takes a long time to scan at high resolution. Since this is used do digitize a large number of family photos, we had to reduce the resolution to get the scan time acceptable. The scanner software stopped working and we re-installed to get it working again. However,we needed to adjust the scan properties again since it went back to the defaults. We should have paid more for a faster scanner.

This was perfect for turning my 35mm film prints and negatives into a digital copy where I can transfer them to friends and family across the country. I can also edit the scans with Epson software. Amazing Quality!

The software is confusing, particularly for mac OS. But the hardware works great. Working with negatives can be a bit tricky if the negatives have curled. Consider using other off the shelf image scanning software.

Have only had the scanner for one month and have scanned over 1000 negatives. Scanner has been doing a very good job. Scanner is pretty easy to use. Have not worked with the Photo Studio software yet. So far I am very pleased with the scanner.

Works as advertised. Had a lot of slides and negatives to scan, quality is great and faster that I was used to with a 20 year old scanner. Probably through 500+ at the point and still works fine.

Great Photo Scanner - High Quality - Easy to use

Professional quality hardware and software. I have scanned well over 400 slides, 50 strips of color negative (35 mm) and even old pictures - you can scan anything that is flat. The software is great in "full auto mode". You don't have to do any settings - the scanner figures out what you are scanning, and does the job. My main experience is with slides. It scans at 6400 dpi, and renders jpg files (remember a standard copier runs at 800 dpi max). It is kind of slow, 4 slides in about 3 minutes. But you end up with the same quality of jpg you would expect from a digital camera or smart phone. I could keep on with its many capabilities, but will close with this thought -There is no other scanner on the market that can do the job at this price point.

Scanning old photos to archive. The quality of the scan is good. The software is clunky and the top of the scanner is a bit difficult to open and close

Its a wonderful scanner with decent quality but it takes such a long time for it to scan film. I haven't used it for scanning any documents so I can give any input there. I recommend buying a used one if you're looking for one.

The V600 is the perfect scanner for my purpose of digitizing captioned family photos in chronological order for producing digital albums. The previous, more expensive, Epson scanner that I'd used for over 10 years had more features; some of which I never used. This replacement is actually easier to navigate and the picture quality is great! The one feature that I do miss is the ability to save the scanned pictures directly to my external hard drive. The V600 only allows saving to the computers picture or document folders. Therefore, I save to the picture folder and then move pictures digitally to my attached hard drive.

My old Epson Scanner quit working and so since the new Epson V600 scanner was rated so high, and since I knew how to use the software, I decided to get it. It works much better than my old scanner and I am very happy with it.
