Customers regard the Perfection V600 Photo Scanner as user-friendly and easy to set up, even for those who are not tech-savvy. They appreciate the high-quality scans and the scanner's ability to handle various media, including negatives, film slides, and old photos. Works great, fairly fast scans. Nice that you can scan several pictures at once and it makes individual scans, saves a lot of time. Can also scan a document to a PDF file.

Once you figure out what is going on, this is a really excellent scanner and works flawlessly. My only issue is the instructions which are particularly opaque. Once you figure it out you will be very pleased with the results.

Overall it does it's job well enough for 35mm film scanning, it does a much better job for 120 film though since it's a bigger film stock. Scanning could be better but it's an older scanner at this point.

This scanner takes a long time to scan at high resolution. Since this is used do digitize a large number of family photos, we had to reduce the resolution to get the scan time acceptable. The scanner software stopped working and we re-installed to get it working again. However,we needed to adjust the scan properties again since it went back to the defaults. We should have paid more for a faster scanner.

Good but not without it's Faults

Overall a very good scanner for a decent price. It's not going to give you professional results but then again, it's not a professional price. Contrary to what others have wrote, it works fine with Windows 10. But it is finicky about the scanning windows being absolutely clean or it leaves lines across the scan. As others have said, avoid using the ICE technology, it leaves the scans grainy. I've come to conclusion it's better to just scan and do any photo restoration outside of the scanner software. Overall, I'm pleased with the product.

Haven’t tried all the features but works great for digitizing slides. The software takes some time to learn how to use. I’ve had to use YouTube videos to learn how to use the software.

The software is confusing, particularly for mac OS. But the hardware works great. Working with negatives can be a bit tricky if the negatives have curled. Consider using other off the shelf image scanning software.

Works as advertised. Had a lot of slides and negatives to scan, quality is great and faster that I was used to with a 20 year old scanner. Probably through 500+ at the point and still works fine.

The V600 is the perfect scanner for my purpose of digitizing captioned family photos in chronological order for producing digital albums. The previous, more expensive, Epson scanner that I'd used for over 10 years had more features; some of which I never used. This replacement is actually easier to navigate and the picture quality is great! The one feature that I do miss is the ability to save the scanned pictures directly to my external hard drive. The V600 only allows saving to the computers picture or document folders. Therefore, I save to the picture folder and then move pictures digitally to my attached hard drive.
