Customers are saying

Customers regard the Perfection V600 Photo Scanner as user-friendly and easy to set up, even for those who are not tech-savvy. They appreciate the high-quality scans and the scanner's ability to handle various media, including negatives, film slides, and old photos. Love this scanner! I actually use it to scan sports cards into my computer for online sales. It scans a perfect picture showing any flaws on the cards. More importantly it can scan graded cards in the case.

A great little scanner. Small enough to carry with me, but big enough to do the job. I have yet to figure out how to use all of the enhancements that are built in to the scanner, but am very happy with the scans I get. I bought it because it does scans of both film and paper, and was slightly disappointed that there is a limit of a couple of inches on film -- I have some 3x5" negatives that I have to scan in two passes and stitch the images together because they are too big. However, as I scan paper photos, I'm very happy with the high resolution available, and am satisfied with the speed (I'm scanning photos from a historical archive, and we wanted to scan at as high a resolution as practical).

great scanning, poor connectivity, first one broke

Pros: the scans are great. Putting 4 slides in at once or up to 12 negatives makes it go fast. Auto file naming is great. Default scans at 300dpi are fairly quick. You can go to 1200 dpi but the files become large and take a while. Can scan color negatives into color files! Cons: After around 700 scans it broke. On my second one, hope it lasts longer. USB interface to my Windows 10 laptop is iffy. I need to restart the app often and power cycle the scanner at times. Download the driver off the web. The CD in the box has a driver from 2012.

The scanner features works great. I have scanner over 2,500 items; photos, documents, and film. The installation issues of the software has been a big disappointment. Installs on one WIN 7 PC but not another WIN 7 PC that I use for photo editing.

This picture scanner does great for old photos and Polaroids. I scanned hundreds of pictures and the software was easy to use. My only issue is that it doesn’t automatically correct red eye issues within photos.

New MacBook pro required an update of my previous epson scanner. Not happy that this type of forced action be taken, but the Perfection v600 has proven an easy install, and has performed to expectations.

Great scanner for the price, for 35mm slides

I have scanned about 10 trays of 35mm slides so far, since I bought this item a month ago. It takes about an hour per tray(30 slides or so), at the settings I am using. The best review I read was by “Mike from Detroit” or “M1k3 from D3tro1t” on Amazon reviews. It was multiple pages that described the best settings for this unit. My only deviation from his recommendations was I am saving them as .tif and not JPG(at 1 compression), because I have plenty of hard drive space to save the larger files. The unit has many settings when you set it to professional mode. I found the above mentioned review excellent for determining the best settings to use.

I've scanned over a couple of thousand photos with the Epson Perfection and I highly recommend it. The quality is outstanding. There's no warm up time delay. I don't use the filmstrip attachment but have had no problems whatsoever scanning my 4X6 photos. It's a breeze. No complaints!

Purchased V600 scanner to scan old family photos and 'especially' negatives. Interface is a little clunky using USB, but gets the job done. I especially like the included holders for slides and negatives. This makes scanning slides and negatives a breeze.
