The V600 is a great all-purpose scanner
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Epson Perfection V600 is a great scanner. I bought it specifically to scan negatives and other film in my collection. So far it works beautifully. Slides, 35mm negatives and 2.25 film. Of course it also does a great job with reflective photos, artwork, etc. I will agree with other reviews I've read that it is perhaps a bit slower than other scanners I've used. BUT, sometimes the best scans are worth waiting for. Got a great price from Best Buy and shipping/delivery was next-day fast at no extra cost.

Excellent flatbed for reflective or film scanning
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good quality film scans, not as good DMAX as my dedicated film scanner but a lot less money! Solid tools and still works with VueScan well.

Work great, as expected
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit is larger than many entry level models, so be prepared to take up quite a bit of space on your desk. Besides that it works great.

Great Purchase!!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a recent purchaser, with a substantial collection of 35mm slides and negatives. I have been focusing on scanning slides and original prints so far, but no color negatives to date. The results have been outstanding to my eye, especially when you consider the amount of magnification needed to enlarge the small surface area of a slide! Installation was very straightforward and uneventful, and the user guide is very clear. I have no hesitation with recommending this product.

Great Scanner for photos, film, and slides
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read several reviews before purchasing this scanner. It has surpassed my expectations. With proper spacing, it will scan several photos at one time, separating each into an individual file. The same it true for film and slides . . . saving a ton of time over having to scan each individually. I was skeptical of the "ICE" feature, which promises to remove scratches and dust from scans, but it works amazingly well on the film I've been scanning. I've scanned photos, color, black and white 35mm film, and color slides, all with great results. Several hundred down, a few thousand to go!

Excellent scanner especially for medium format neg
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed to create a "Dry Darkroom", and this scanner delivered! It made a believer out of me being able with flexibility to handle thin negs as well as over exposed ones. Even if you're still printing in a traditional darkroom, this scanner can give you an excellent preview, much like a good contact sheet would do. Highly recommend the Epsom V600!

Driver software is a little flakey.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Software sometimes does not allow scanning slides because it won’t allow selection of positive film, and will not change from reflective scanning.

Excellent all around scanner!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This scanner is great because of all the things it can do and the high DPI is a really nice feature that a lot of other scanners at or below this price range can do. Unfortunately I had to return the unit because it was overkill for what I needed it for and it does have a rather large footprint. If you have the space for it and need something to scan a ton of photos, film, slides or documents, this scanner should fit your needs perfectly.
