Customers are saying

Customers regard the Perfection V600 Photo Scanner as user-friendly and easy to set up, even for those who are not tech-savvy. They appreciate the high-quality scans and the scanner's ability to handle various media, including negatives, film slides, and old photos. However, some customers have concerns about the outdated software, compatibility issues, the scanner's large size, occasional defects, and the time-consuming scanning process.

I purchased this as a replacement for the same product whose warranty had expired before the scanner in the lid for transparencies ceased to function. Yet it was worth the risk to buy another while considering its price and capabilities. I was disappointed that there is no way to force the lid scanner to acknowledge the presence of an extremely overexposed slide, so it was impossible to correct the image by making subsequent manual adjustments.

I shoot 35mm and 120mm film and use this scanner to scan the negatives. It works great and the interface is simple to use. One thing to note, you will want to download the latest driver/software from epsons website. Without it, the scanner will only scan one image at a time, you will have to click on your mouse every time. But, with the update driver/software, it will scan without any interruptions.

Began the daunting task of digitizing the boxes of family photos. After a lot of research, this scanner is the best bang for the buck. It outperforms the lower priced scanners and has many features of the higher priced scanners. This scanner is making the project much less painful.

The Epson V600 scanner is exactly what I needed to scan old photos. This scanner is bringing memories back to life. It is able to restores the photo so that it's clear. They look like the photos were taken recently. The red isn't there on the old 1970s photos. I even like that I can brighten the photo from a darker photo. Wow! This is true especially with the old Kodak Instant photos. Excellent so far. I haven't tried scanning slides or negatives yet, but so far, the scanner is worth the money.
