The best you can get

Unfortunately it is very old technology and dependent on the whims of Microsoft and Epson to keep it running. Also it is supposed to have an improved sensor over the V 500 perfection, but in my hands the scans are not quite as good. I can't explain why.

Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner

I hope the updated version will have the ability to scan large film strips (120mm) a little quicker. Overall, this product does the task you want completed perfectly.

Good Price and Image Quality

The included software works fine, but paired with Adobe Photoshop Elements I have been able to do everything I have needed to do. I have not tested scanning negatives, but plan to in the near future. So far so good.
