Almost as good as the V800

I do suggest getting the Silverfast software to use with it over the Epson software. Silverfast is free with the Serial Number of your scanner.

Great scanner for the price

Slow but steady.

The only negative is the slide/film holder. The slide holder is easy to use. It only holds 4 slide so it's slow going. Trying to scan film strips is not so good. If the negativities are curled, the plastic is too flimsy to hold in place. It is also only a USB 2 interface with a really old style cable. I don't know if that may be part of the speed issue.

Windows and Mac compatible, easy to use

Now also have a MacBook and this one works with both. Very simple setup and exceptional editing capability. Lots of options for pics, negatives and various size slides. Highly recommend!!!

GOOD TO SCAN SLIDES - FOUR AT A TIME.

Eventually figured that out. The dust removal feature was especially effective.. Finally got some success. have not tried documents or photos on it.

Epson V600 scanner

I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the scans it produced, bot from hard copy and 35 mm negatives. Slides didn't work out as well but I haven't had too much experience with them yet. I'm pretty sure that with some fine tuning they should work as well. At $200 it was definitely a bargain.
