Customers are saying

Customers regard the Perfection V600 Photo Scanner as user-friendly and easy to set up, even for those who are not tech-savvy. They appreciate the high-quality scans and the scanner's ability to handle various media, including negatives, film slides, and old photos. However, some customers have concerns about the outdated software, compatibility issues, the scanner's large size, occasional defects, and the time-consuming scanning process.

Expensive but pretty good. I play around changing settings and I stay with the settings I think works better for me. I always go to YouTube and learn from the professionals.

My favorite feature of this scanner is the ability to scan multiple photos at once and each one is automatically saved separately. Simple to operate and different options are available for editing.

    Windows10 software incompatability Word2016

I experienced immediate blockage of @Word2016 upon installation of the V600 scanner.Microsoft Word running into problem with c/programfiles(X86)\9.00\integration\finereadertite.woesd.tmpl.dot'add-in. This would not allow Word2016 to open. Solution, remove all Epson related files. Locate EPSON driver update and install. Then, reinstall V600 files. Also, I do not see a noticable difference from the photo scans on my HP Officejet Pro 8600 scans.

I bought this item thinking it would be great for scanning slides and negatives in addition to photos. It’s a great idea but the software sucks. I could not get it to save to any of my files. I called Epson customer support but after getting help it only would save once. Spent way too much time trying to get it to work. Also the plastic adapter that it came with was flimsy. In my opinion it should have been made better for the price you pay.

Product was delayed and extremely difficult to set up and configure. The outdated cord uses standard USB and. Is very fickle in when it wants to appear and be recognized by my MacBook Pro. SilverFast software phware looks like it was created and never updated since the late 90s and it’s anything but fast.

So far the Epson V600 is performing well. I purchased the V600 to start digitizing pictures and negatives of the kids. Took a little while to learn, but there are plenty of free online guide videos.

Bought this to archive old family pictures when we downsized to a smaller home with less storage space... will be nice to not have shelves and shelves of photo albums. Plus, will be able to share photos with familyl members!

Best mid-priced flatbed scanner on the market. Have used this scanner literally (yes, really, literally) thousands of times. Beautiful, quick scans. Nice included software. Buy this one.

It’s a little slow with only 4 slides at a time but it works just fine. You can adjust the lighting and color and some finer adjustments to take off some impurities in older slides. Haven’t tried any film yet but expect it to do the job.

We were able to scan slides with very little setup issues. The image quantity is excellent. Scan time per image isn't too bad but if you have a lot to do you need to consider this factor. I recommend this scanner. We'll do more scanning in the off season.

The product performs as I hoped. My only issue is a matter of convenience; getting to start scanning. The buttons on the machine don't seem to work, so I use the application in Finder, which means an extra two or three steps to get it to start scanning.
