After telling me to go to the West LA store and get it, he saw that they actually had one in stock but it took him about 29 minutes to find it.

Great scanner

At first, I assumed that it was a Win11 driver problem. OK, so I downloaded and installed the most recent, but still fairly old driver (2021). No joy. I replaced the cable on the off chance that was it. No joy either. I tried the included Silverfast software. No joy. I even tried a different PC with a LOT less software on it. Didn't work either. I finally had to conclude that the unit was just faulty. If I replace this scanner at all, it won't be another Epson.
