Awesome but expensive
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really good scanner but it is quite expensive. Its very easy to use. You can scan negatives, slides, and pictures. It allows you to scan multiple images at a time and splits the images into separate files, found that out by accident. It took a day to scan 4,000 images. So i think its pretty quick.

Outstanding Scanner
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The short time I’ve owned this scanner, I have scanned several hundred photographs, several dozens of film negatives and some documents. This scanner as gone above my expectations and would recommend this scanner. The price is very reasonable for such a workhorse and the quality of the images and photos scanned.

Best Film Negative Scanner to Date!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic scanner for scanning film negatives and positives. Upgraded from an older canon scanner, and I can say this has been a joy to use. I would suggest if you're really into film scanning I would not use the epson scan software, I would opt to find something more suited for it such as Vuescan, or Sliverfast. But over all the dust removal and the quickness of this scanner at this price point is unbeatable. I believe color wise this is the closest you'll get to lab scans with the proper programs to go by its side. A major bonus, it's quiet!

Does the job!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this scanner so that I would be able to scan my own film negatives instead of having to go through third parties to do so. I’ve scanned a whole roll of film so far and it’s been quite easy to use! You simply just put the film insert in, lock your film (it can scan 12 35mm negatives at a time; two strips of 6) in place, and the scanner does the rest after setting the desired edits from the Epson scan software. Anyone not willing to pay extra for the V800 can’t go wrong with this “older” version. It works just fine with all the necessary settings for perfect scans.

Good for negatives, poor macOS software & manual.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to scan about 100 negatives for medium format film. The cost of the scanner was less than the cost of paying to have the scanning done. The holder for medium format negatives worked well, and the scans came out very well. HOWEVER, the holder for 35mm slides is not good--the slides lay on the surface of the scanner and one cannot remove them without getting finger smudges on the scanning area. The really bad part is the software on macOS 10.14. It is not yet updated to 64-bit, and unless that is done this will be useless come Fall 2019 when macOS 10.15 is released. The settings for scanning are not saved from one negative to another. I have to manually re-set them for every single negative. The manual is very uninformative about how to preserve settings. I guess this has paid for itself, since I finished scanning the 100 negatives. But unless the software is improved I cannot recommend the scanner to a general user.

Great for uploading family photos
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This scanner is more than expected. It automatically separates the photos into separate files. Admittedly, it's frustrating when it doesn't recognize that they're separate photos but the majority of the time it's just impressive. I'm now able to see details in old photos that I didn't even know existed. For uploading our family photos into the cloud, it's been more than expected.

GREAT Scanner / get the the warranty.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a GREAT scanner, but.... like all modern electronics, lots of plastic parts that can break Very good resolution, works well, easy to use, but definitely get the extended warranty. Easy replacement; they don't try to repair them anymore so ya just get a new one. I just had an issue with the gears slipping. The rest of the system works great. Have had 3 of these across several family members and scanned many hundreds of negatives and photos. Great results, very happy with it.

Great Quality Scanner for the Average User
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great scanner for the average Joe. If it seems pricey, that's only because you're looking at a really good scanner for home use. The included trays are okay, a bit flimsy and not exactly precision but they get the job done for old Brownie camera negatives... if they've been trimmed properly. But the interpolated scanning produces really good results. If you have a trunkload of old black and whites, negatives, and other family photos you need to scan as you have time, this works wonderfully. It's not the fastest, but I hardly think it's as slow as half of these reviews let on. It always says "five minutes remaining" but usually the high quality scans I make only take a minute or two. I've used it for daguerreotypes, negatives, cabinet cards, color Polaroids, even some old 110 prints. Eventually I'll be using it in large capacity as we go through the old photos as a family. If I had anything bad to say about it, that revolves around the fact that the lid is extremely difficult to open after it's been closed for a while. It also is heavy, so the hinges are very stiff. No doubt you WILL drop the lid halfway open at least once. Yes, it's just stuck... if you're sure you got the blue shipping tape off then it really does seem glued to the base.

Great value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned many scanners and I found the V600 to be an exceptional value. It comes with plastic holders for slides, 35mm negatives or 120mm negatives. I have a dedicated slide scanner and this scanner rivals the quality. The software that comes with it is okay but it's a bit cumbersome. Instead I use VueScan. It makes use of all the scanner features like dust removal (negatives and slides only).

Scanner
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The scanner itself works great. Separates multiple pictures perfectly & great resolution. Software comes on a CD which is not helpful if computer doesn’t have CD drive. All software is not on website and communicating via web is like talking to a machine - not helpful. I finally copied CD to a USB drive than had to install each application individually. The the master install application did not work from a USB drive.

Great Value, Good Scanner...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this photo scanner at this price point and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a good scanner that will not break the banks. I had no issues getting it set up and I am a novice computer tech at best. Easy to run and understand and I found several youtube videos to assist if I had any questions. It scans photo negatives and the old Kodak Slides great...

I have enjoyed the scanner very much.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have old negatives that would have never had pictures made from. No one produces pictures from these any more without it costing an arm and a leg and possibly a few teeth. I spent a couple of nights up scanning negatives I had never seen in print. One from 1910 or there abouts. It was a blast to see them come to life. It may take a bit of trial and error to get the scan just right when you first get started but it is well worth the time it takes to learn. You will enjoy this scanner.

Great Scanner for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this scanner for a year and a half. It has performed perfectly. I scan documents of all kinds and color photographs. The color reproduction is excellent. With up to 6400 x 9600 dpi resolution it provides excellent detail to reprint larger photographs that are crisp. It has a frame for scanning 35 mm slides that I do not use. The software was very easy to install on my home Windows 10 Desktop computer. It is very intuitive and easy to use and change settings accordingly.

Amazing Scanner especially for the price!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to install, fast, great scans. Actually cost less than my Epson 3170 Photo which I have used for too many years to count! The only reason I replaced the 3170 was that I accidentally dropped the scanner lid and then the lamp did not light, carriage did not move, and it make a clicking noise. So I love the feature on the V600 that the lid has a catch and doesn't fall if it slips from your hand.

Review of Epson v600 flat bed scanner.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this after much research. I needed to scan slides. I have been an avid photographer since 1970. I heard of this on Reddit. I could not be more happy. It is easy to use: scanning of fast and sharp. It can scan up to 4 at a time. AMYONE wanting to get quality work fairly fast, this is it. It comes with 2 holders. One for slides and negatives. And one for flat work. I have only used this with slide films.

Customer Product Review of the Epson V600 Scanner
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used the V600 to scan more than 250 35mm slides. Each scan takes about 2.7 minutes (up to four slides). It was relatively easy to download the software and begin scanning. As with most products, read the instructions before you start any scanning projects. For example, they will tell you that the on/off button is on the back right side of the scanner...not the front panel. Quality of the scans seem to be good but again become familiar with the options available with the software. If you are scanning 35mm slides, select "film". My advice is to just click on everything to work through all the options which should help to make your scans the best possible with the appropriate settings. The photo editing software is okay, but if you are really looking for more professional results, you will want to do your editing in better photo editing software. This item is apparently hard to get from anywhere as it took me more than a month searching. Best Buy finally got back it back in stock, but you must order it online as the stores do not carry scanners anymore. I got a great price with a special bonus buy and I used reward dollars with saved me nearly fifty dollars total. I have yet to scan print photos, but I am expecting similar results as I have gotten with the slides. So far I am very happy with this product. If the photo is good to begin with, the scanned results should be equally as good and better with photo editing.

Best Color Photo Scanner on the Market
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best color photo scanner on the market. Easy to setup and use. Provides the best photo quality imaging of any scanner I've used. The photo auto-touch-up feature is genius. The only knock is you can only scan one photo at a time. What it lacks in mass scanning, it makes up for in quality.

Photo Negative scanner
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got it to save old family negatives before they started to fade ...easy to use after getting used to it and does a good job of scanning old negatives so the can be saved digitally and no longer fade... good value especially since it costs about $7.00 each to have it done by a photo shop and having many years of negatives from the family wouldn't have been worth it to save them otherwise
