Problems working with my Mac Book
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just purchased an Epson V600 scanner, and I had problems with it right out of the box, even after following all the set up instructions. Pressed the scan button and nothing. I called Epson customer support, and although they're friendly and want to solve the problem, they couldn't make it happen. Finally, I called Apple Support, and between the support guy and me, we got the scanner to operate. However, the scanner takes forever to even start the scan, and at times does not respond at all. I'll probably return it. By the way, I also called the Best Buy Geek Squad. No help at all.

Like it, but....

I do like it, however, unless you use the Easy Photo Scan (photo scanning w/o any corrections), it's pretty slow. The Digital ICE Technology (restoration) does a pretty good job of removing dust particles, "scratches", etc., but the process is time consuming, yet rewarding. I'm still glad I purchased it, because I have lots of old photos that need restoring.

Scanner only lasts for a year and a half

Plan on replacing before the 2 year geek squad plan runs out. This is my second scanner with the same trouble.

Nice scanner but not calibrated to upper rt corner

Works with Windows 10 and scanning software is good. Debating on returning it or always having to reposition documents away from corner.

Skews images

When I use Photoshop to straighten one edge, the others get skewed. I don't think Adobe is doing... but I could be wrong. Also, I was hoping that since the scanner can't connect wirelessly, it could at least connect to a wifi router. No go. Returning,

Pain in the neck - had to replace

Had to send back to epson and get new one. Big pain in the neck. Boxing back into original container, bring to fed ex, epson sent wrong label for shipping. Had to wait for them to resend. One screw up after another. Finally got it to connect. Have not used it yet, waiting to get software lessons and learn how to scan negatives before I begin big project (scanning negatives from 60s-70s-80s).

I tried all the YouTube and other Internet trouble shooting "solutions." Had to return item without scanning a single thing. Perhaps Epson Drivers need updating. The unit powered on normally but that is all it did. BestBuy made the return to the store painless however.

defective

Wouldn’t scan/preview whatsoever. Had to restart the scanner about 10 times for it to register. Then, it wouldn’t scan my B&W film and kept freezing up and not responding. I had to bring up Task Manager in order to shut it down numerous times. Would not recommend.

Not User Friendly - Long Time to Scan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having been a consummate photo-taker before the digital age, I was very excited about the prospect of scanning my older photos to a digital format, so I ordered this scanner after reading the reviews. Well maybe because I'm a Mac user, but I found that this product was not easy to set up out of the box and had to do loads of online research just to set it up, let alone start scanning. When I finally was able to get it working, it took an inordinate amount of time to scan. My old HP all in one, actually does a better and faster job of photo scanning. So I have opted to get my photos professionally scanned and gave this product to someone who only has a few photos to scan.

Won't work with my mac

At least the epson v19 I bought connected more than once. This one flashes a big orange error light whenever I try to connect it to my computer. I tried restarting my computer, resetting the print queue, restarting the scanner, etc., and nothing worked. Downloaded the latest drivers from Epson. I don't know why Epson refuses to make their mac software better.
