Once I got a working scanner, it's great.

Once I finally receive a third scanner it worked after replacing the usb cable to a off brand. The product wasn't quality checked wall but the customer service at Best Buy was great.

Error prevents use, Epson support website useless.

Trying to find specific steps to follow online feels like watching a dog chase its tail, although not entertaining as watching the dog would be. Just an endless circle of clicking that gets you back to where you started, nothing accomplished. What does Epson expect me to do, throw this one in the trash and buy a new one?

not happy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When I unpacked the scanner I was surprised to find that it smells moldy and I’m still having trouble getting it to work properly. Software needed updating, did that. Three scans were fine, the fourth caused the software to malfunction…not happy.

watch out

Unsuccessful installation on my computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tried installing this scanner on my computer (Windows 10) yesterday. Unsuccessful. After hours spent on the phone with Epson tech support, they exhausted all possible solutions. Epson is sending me a new one. Will update this review after I try installing the new V600. (BTW - have successfully installed other devices on my Windows 10 in the past.) I did get Geek Squad coverage when I purchased, so if the new scanner also has install issues, will be calling the Geeks. Problem: computer recognizes the scanner and tells me it's functioning, but blinking orange error light will not go away. Several reloads of software package (drivers, etc) directly from Epson site did not resolve. I followed all instructions given by Epson tech support.

Adobe Photoshop Elements DVD is not included

If like me you were thinking of buying the V600 scanner, instead of the V550, or only buying it from bestbuy.com, instead of from other sites/stores, because bestbuy.com alone advertises it as coming bundled with Adobe Photoshop Elements on DVD, don't. Despite what bestbuy.com advertises as being 'what's included' with your purchase of the V600 through them there is no Adobe Photoshop Elements DVD bundled with this scanner. Epson no longer supplies it.

Epson scanner
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The scanner works very well but the dvd provided works with Sierra version 10.12.6 but did not work with Big Sur version 11.6. The only way it would work was with a third party monthly charge. Epson has not upgraded their dvds to match current operating systems and seems to think it’s ok not to tell their customers. As a long time Epson user I am disappointed in their marketing honesty. I am also disappointed in Best Buy for selling items without full disclosure. Don’t sell this item without telling customers about this extra charge. Will I hear back from you as a result of my comments

Non-working Epson Perfection V600 scanner

No Support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apparently, there isn't any support for the V600 for the OS X El Captain 10.11. I have not been able to use this scanner. With Best Buy claims of a 15-day refund, I am out $200.

Even the best have defects

All sound output was distorted to the point of being unintelligible. The card made a very low sound like a low hiss upon its first power-up. A slight odor and then garbage/noise. I've have 2 SoundBlasters before this and never the first problem.

Tech support refuses to provide information.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used this unit for a little while scanning documents, then when I went to scan some photos it became clear there was small, white fibers on the inside of the glass. I called tech support to find out how to open the unit with out damaging it and the refused to tell me, even after I accepted it would void the warantee. They wanted me to ship it back, I needed to comple a job NOW not days from now. I finally returned it for a refund. Epson - worst support ever!
