Good value for the price, easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This scanner works very well and wasn't too expensive compared to many others. It's easy to use, too. I was up and running in minutes! If you're looking to scan old photos this one will ensure that they aren't damaged as with feeder style scanners. I did quite a bit of research before buying this scanner. Photo Elements 2020 is a great software application that works wonders with the scans to remove blemishes, creases, etc.

Great Value!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Meets most of my expectations. I wish it'd hold 8 slides! Not quite as high a resolution as my Nikon Cool Scan but faster! The film holders are a bit awkward to use. I've made my own holder that allows me to place several sized negs free-hand within the scanning area. As they say, "necessity is the mother of invention". It's a 5 star because it does an outstanding job for the price!

Great way to save old photos and slides.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this scanner for a few weeks now. I have scanned over a thousand photos and slides. The software takes a little time but will do just about everything that you need to do. It is not the fastest solution for saving photos but does a fantastic job. I would buy it again.

Recommended for scanning in old photos
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent! Very high resolution! Obviously slower scan time for the higher resolution, but well worth it! You can tell a difference with the ICE technology. Some old scanned photos now look High Definition.

Epson V600 Scanner
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit has several options to make excellent digital pictures from negatives. I have been using it for a month now and once I read through the on-line manual and played with options the results are fine most of the time. I have not done slides, only B&W and Color 35mm negatives. The negative holder rack will hold 12 negatives per scan (6 next to 6), but 99% of my negatives are cut in groups of 4 each. So, to actually get 6 on each side, you need to either cut some of the 4's or crunch the last two to fit in one row. I did find that my 1970's negatives have pictures closer together than the later ones, so it prints half pictures which takes some manipulating to get the ones I want. There may be an adjustment to fix this, but I haven't found it yet. Best results are when you preview each and every group before scanning. This takes a little more time, but it gives you options to adjust each individual picture before scanning. Scanning is relatively quick if you do not use the ICE feature. Adjusting the dpi and color is simple and the results are good.

So Easy ... Awesome!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hook-up and install was super easy ... insert CD, click, click & done. Scanned a portrait as instructed in set-up instructions ... the scan quality was outstanding. The downside is the scanner is bulky but well worth the sacrifice for ease of setup and scan quality.

Very Good Scanner
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very Good Photo Scanner. It knows to create 3 separate photos if there are like 3 to scan at the same time. Good quality even for 1957 black and white. My only dislike is the weight and size, but for great quality scanned photos, the bulkiness is needed

A good level-up scanner for large jobs
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my third Epson flatbed scanner -- the first two were part of all-in-one printers. I've never had problems with those, but I needed one that could scan larger documents for bigger jobs. The EPSON Scan software is easy to navigate. I like to use the professional setting for digitizing photos because of all the customizable settings, but there are also simpler pre-sets for quicker no-fuss scans. I'm not a professional, though, and still have issues with trying to get the best quality, even in prep for Photoshop. A digital camera and a good set-up will yield better results in terms of getting sharper detail, but that's a ton of additional time, space, and effort.. and this scanner really does a good job with image and color quality. Set up was painless. Scans are really fast. And it can scan negatives and transparencies!

Great scanner for photo album project!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With a lot of time on our hands now we decided to tackle the scanning of our photo albums to our Mac laptop. This scanner is great for a large project like that. It was easy to hook up to our Mac and the software provided enabled us to get started right away. The ability to scan 35mm film negatives is also a plus. Fair price, timely delivery and great scan quality!

High Quality Scanning Hardware
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.High quality scanning hardware, unit is fairly large but produces quick high quality scans, I select the default output as PDF, will scan text and images to complete accuracy. Great scanner, poor install issues
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a nice scanner with trays for film and slides (there's lots of time for scanning old slides and negatives these days). The low star rating comes from the fact Epson does not have the featured software for the new MacOS Big Sur. What Epson has done is provide a link to SilverFast software that has the features Epson is unable to provide. They also don't tell you that this SilverFast software is a demo version. The full version costs about $41 from the SilverFast website. The low star is there also because I've now spent several hours downloading software, etc. Come on, Epson it's 2021! You've known about the Apple Big Sur update for months.

Decent Scanner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, I have no complaints. I have scanned several 100 negatives and the quality is good, canning @ 9600 dpi. It takes about 3-5 minutes per slide, but that is ok for that resolution and the price of the scanner. I guess got mass scanning you would need tray that hold an entire roll of film. More to come, as I scan more materials.

Does Great Job on negatives.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was surprised Epson didn’t have their own software for this. The do provide a third party app this is great. It didn’t take too long to get up and running. I did have to buy an adapter for 110 film. Overall it’s a great scanner.

Perfect for storage of family photos
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't had the scanner long, but so far it is quite easy to operate and produces a fine scan. I bought it based on reviews, with the intention of scanning boxes of family photos. Based on the experience so far, it will be an intensive project taking a lot of time, but it will be worth it with scans of this quality.

Wonderful flatbed scanner!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was the model we chose to replace our other Epson flatbed. It had great compatibility with Apple iOS and had fantastic resolution. You will find yourself reducing your scan sizes - as leaving it to maximum setting makes your scan not-so-portable (too much memory). Ultra easy to set-up and use. Highly recommended for achiving pictures!

Fast and Easy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the V600 to replace the V330, which I wore out after nine years. I like the way the hinged lid opens at the back and stays up, allowing hands-free operation while I position odd-sized items. It's a little longer and taller than the old one but scans faster. I hope it lasts as long as its predecessor. I'm very pleased.
