Great little photo scanner. Easy to set up. Faster than some others. I had over 200 old BW 120 negatives that my mom had which most are over 70 years old. This scanner did a great job to transfer to my computer so I could print bigger prints, what a great way to preserve family history.

This a great scanner. I bought it to scan family photos. Some of the photos were so dark and you could not see anything in them. It brighten and removed fuzziness. Restored the faded colors. The scanner is is to use. Has some great options, like scanning documents in to PDFs.

I needed a scanner to scan slides into jpg format. I had scanned some slides many years ago on an Epson scanner, but I didn't have one of my own. I use a MAC using OS Sierra. After reading the reviews of this scanner, and being familiar with Epson scanners for many years, I purchased this one. I scanned my first tray of slides (80 of them) in no time at 300 dpi. This particular tray of slides dates back to 1979, so they have been in their storage boxes for many years. The quality of the scans is excellent. Some reviews complained about the amount of time that it took to scan the slides, but I have no complaint about this. This scanner places me in control of the slides and how they are scanned. I am my own "quality control." I definitely recommend this scanner.

Such a wonderful purchase - it scanned everything so clearly and so easily. We scanned prints of all sized and negatives and it all worked intuitively and so quickly. Great machine.

This scanner is just what I was looking for. I have 35mm slides going back to 1958 and needed to transfer them to my laptop. I have scanned over 5000 slides and am up to the year 1984 and am very pleased with the results. One point, a lot of attention needs to be taken with dust on the slides and on the glass of the scanner. One little brush stroke or a puff of air will save time in PhotoShop cleaning the image up.

Have family slides ? This is for you. Scanning four at a time makes this nice. Time of each scan is based on the quality level of the scan. Approximately 2.5 minutes per slide on the next to highest level of resolution. 3,000+ and counting.

I am amazed at how great this product works. I bought it to restore old faded pictures and digitize for online storage. It is so easy to use. All you have to do is plug it in and scan. Setup is easy too. I have not tried scanning slides yet, but I anticipate it will be easy too.

Very nice and very fast. I bought mainly to scan pictures into my back up drive and it does a very good job of this. I also wanted to scan documents so I could edit them. I have yet to find OCR software that would do this properly; although the scanner works well making a jpeg or pdf from a document. If anyone can recommend a means (software) to do this, please reply. I have purchased Readiris pro 14 but am struggling a bit with its recognition. Not sure if this is a scanner issue or software issue. I do think the scanner is very good and priced well.

I purchased this specifically for scanning all my pictures so I wouldn't need all the containers for photos and they could more easily be viewed and enjoyed. Didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. This scanner has so many user friendly functions that make it easy to use; to crop, to rotate, to color correct, erase scratches, and a long list of other functions. In most cases, the auto enhance function is all you need to color correct. It took old colored pictures that had yellowed, and returned them to their original vibrant color with one click. You can scan as many pictures as you can fit on it at one time. Leaving space between the pictures, it recognizes the edges and save each picture individually. A GREAT buy at this price. Perfect for us non-professionals to get a professional looking picture. And it isn't just for pictures. Scan whatever you want.

Does a Great Job on Old Negatives

Excellent quality scanner. I’ve been using it for about a month now (replacing an old Epson Perfection 1640SU) and it does a great job on documents, photos and transparent media. It’s not immediately obvious but you can download a free fully functional copy SilverFast scanning software with the purchase of this scanner (basic version 8 - just enter the serial number ), and I was immediately able to upgrade it for free to the basic version 9. This software does a great job on old negatives and slides and I’ve been so impressed at how much nicer the images look when compared to the old prints. So far no complaints, easy set up on Windows 11.

Good, flexible color scanning of photos, 35mm slides and negatives. Straightforward, easy to install windows software works right away. MacOS 11 setup requires a bit of research and online hunting to work. Scanned over 200 50-75 year old slides so far and very pleased with the results!

Excellent scanner. Veryveasy to use although I will probably get another software program for it. The one packaged with it is cumbersome and not what you need to process film and slides for the best high res output.

We bought this scanner to archive several thousand old photos. Has exceeded my expectations. Can scan multiple pics without additional software. Some of the enhancement/ editing software can alter the photos in an awkward way. Should try different variations with different pics.

Very nice product for the money. Previously a scanner of this resolution would have been 1K or more. But the software that is bundled leaves a bit to be desired. Gets the job done, but not much effort or usability has been devoted to it.

Scans 35mm and 120 medium format negatives like a champ. Outputs rich and detailed TIFF files that could be confused for originally coming out of a digital camera. Highly recommended for the price
