Well-rounded color photo scanner!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good, flexible color scanning of photos, 35mm slides and negatives. Straightforward, easy to install windows software works right away. MacOS 11 setup requires a bit of research and online hunting to work. Scanned over 200 50-75 year old slides so far and very pleased with the results!

Great scanner which fits my needs!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this scanner on the recommendation of several people for scanning my artwork. I haven't used it too much yet, so I can't give a detailed review, but so far it has met my expectations! It comes with the Epson software but the Digital Ice (I think that is for fixing dust and scratches on old photographs) is no longer functional so they give you the ability to download another program called SilverFast. I haven't tried that out yet. I am mainly going to be using this to scan artwork, but I am excited about the possibility of scanning my old photos and slides from my childhood and photos from before I had a digital camera. It seems like a sturdy piece of equipment and looks nice, too. I think I am going to get a lot of use out of this!

Love, Love, Love this scanner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this specifically for scanning all my pictures so I wouldn't need all the containers for photos and they could more easily be viewed and enjoyed. Didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. This scanner has so many user friendly functions that make it easy to use; to crop, to rotate, to color correct, erase scratches, and a long list of other functions. In most cases, the auto enhance function is all you need to color correct. It took old colored pictures that had yellowed, and returned them to their original vibrant color with one click. You can scan as many pictures as you can fit on it at one time. Leaving space between the pictures, it recognizes the edges and save each picture individually. A GREAT buy at this price. Perfect for us non-professionals to get a professional looking picture. And it isn't just for pictures. Scan whatever you want.

A very good scanner and easy to use.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This scanner is just what I was looking for. I have 35mm slides going back to 1958 and needed to transfer them to my laptop. I have scanned over 5000 slides and am up to the year 1984 and am very pleased with the results. One point, a lot of attention needs to be taken with dust on the slides and on the glass of the scanner. One little brush stroke or a puff of air will save time in PhotoShop cleaning the image up.

Great scanner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice and very fast. I bought mainly to scan pictures into my back up drive and it does a very good job of this. I also wanted to scan documents so I could edit them. I have yet to find OCR software that would do this properly; although the scanner works well making a jpeg or pdf from a document. If anyone can recommend a means (software) to do this, please reply. I have purchased Readiris pro 14 but am struggling a bit with its recognition. Not sure if this is a scanner issue or software issue. I do think the scanner is very good and priced well.

Great scanner
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great scanner easy to setup and use. The quality of the scan is outstanding. Minor issue when scanning a picture with a border it doesn't scan the border but it add a color sheet behind it, then it will scan the white border. I have a lot of old B&W with borders.

Works well, but a bit slow
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The scanner works very well and produces very high quality scans of slides. Unfortunately, scanning slides properly requires high resolution scans which take a long time to complete. The scanner is very easy to use as well.

Great Photo Scanner
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this scanner to scan all of my old photos into digital form. It's easy to set up and the software is straightforward. Given the price, the capabilities are way more than you need to scan old photos. Only downside is that the size is bulky.

Great scanner for pictures
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this scanner to archive several thousand old photos. Has exceeded my expectations. Can scan multiple pics without additional software. Some of the enhancement/ editing software can alter the photos in an awkward way. Should try different variations with different pics.

Good option for high quality print resolution scan
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There seems to be very few stand alone scanners for sale these days. Though i had few options, I've been happy with the results of this scanner. Our family is using it to archive all of the old photos from my grandmother's collection and it's made its money back in getting better quality than we could from combo printer scanners. The only down side is that it comes with a disc to install drivers and software. You can find them online on the manufacturers site but takes a bit of looking. Also some of the color correction options if using a Mac do not work as well.

Great scanner
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had been looking for a scanner that would produce high-quality scans of our printed photos and a large amount of 35mm slides from the '60s. We're very happy with the ease of use of the Epson Perfection V600, and the quality of scans produced.

Great photo/film scanner
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been wanting a photo/film scanner for a few years to begin archiving old family photos. I'm also a 35mm film shooter with need to scan the film. I based my purchase on other reviews and the V600 was at the top of my list. Not disappointed, easy to use.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced old V550 model used many years. Computer displayed bit of problem distinguishing between the 2 units. Not able to download from jnternet as hooked to high end non browser equipped Win 7 HP desktop. Did download from Win 10 laptop elsewhere and transfer via flash drive. Excellent quality. Have lesser Epson scanner on Win 10 laptop. Also Epson printer. Best brand on the market. Set up can be trying.

MacOS users - ignore the negative reviews!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a little hesitant to get this based on some iffy reviews, but the ability to scan negatives was important to me so I gave it a shot. I’m so glad I ignored those reviews! I use a 2020 MacBook Pro and this was super easy to set up. If you go to the Epson website (listed right on the instructions) you pick the model of scanner and the type of operating system you are running (I have macOS 11.2), and it will give you different drivers you can download to use the scanner. I am using the Epson Scan 2. You can modify the image settings right there, click Scan, and choose where to save the files. I scanned one photo a few times, slightly adjusting settings each time to see what worked best. This couldn’t have been easier.

Very happy with my purchase
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to set up and does an amazing job. As long as photos are separated slightly it identifies them as separate items and saves them accordingly. Looking forward to saving more family photo treasures with this equipment.
