Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Avoid this thing. The software that Epson provides on their website for this model is very old and slow. It only worked once with a mac without specific software. I kept getting an error message.

Does the job

Horrible durability

I have bought this twice and will never buy another Epson scanner because of how poor the durability on this is. Within a short period of buying and starting to use this scanner, it quit working. When I plug it into my computer, the computer recognizes something is plugged into the USB port but the green power light no longer comes on and it will not work. It happened the first time and since it is smaller and portable, I gave it the benefit of the doubt and purchased another one. The same thing happened to the second one! DO NOT BUY THIS SCANNER!!!

Such a disappointment

Very light use but the scanned images are just horrible with lines going through, horizontally and vertically. Happens on both documents and photos. It's the worst scanner I've ever owned. Such a disappointment from Epson as I have owned many units from them before. Stay away from this specific model and get something else. I wish I can return but it's not possible so I will probably get a Fujitsu down the road.
