Great Quality portable scanner
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This is a quality scanner for everyday use that was fairly easy to setup and scans through documents quickly. The compact size is also nice because the scanner can quickly be packed away for easy travel. The fact that the scanner can be powered directly over USB 3.0 makes for easy travel without the bulky power adapter. Auto duplex is a must have so you can just put a stack of papers in the scanner and let it scan. Most of the scans will come out in great quality once you adjust the software on the computer to max quality. The major downsides for this scanner is the software on the computer. It could use a lot of work as a lot of times the scanner would not scan and it turned out to be the computer not the scanner. I used a Mac so I can only review this based on that software. The only other negative for the scanner was the card scanner feature, it cut parts of the card off and shifted the scan part way through. Overall this is a great quality scanner, the biggest downside is the software and it having to be tied to a computer.

Though regular store receipts can be problematic and need to be put in the scanner a few times for it to pull them through.

Crooked scans

The thing is, I could not get it to scan straight. My scans were crooked and I didn't know how to fix it with the software. I can't send crooked scans, very unprofessional. I ended up returning this item.
