The first one was maybe 2 weeks old and refused to power up. Works fine. Be careful about initial alignment or the paper will skew at an angle. Feeds much faster that my Epson ECO Tank. 3 star rating is because it sometimes says "load paper" and the paper is already in the unit. This mostly happens on narrow cash register receipts
